Listen, I get it, the Plato controversy is good for the series in the short term.

But, if JP isn't thrown out of the results, or heavily penalised, then the 'sport' is in disrepute in the long term.

One car finished 20th and didn't do anything wrong.

Ash Sutton, never ceases to amaze. He could have biffed Plato several times and all the way through he was clean. That was a frustrating race. I hope the stewards take appropriate action, for the sake of the championship.

Noticed on the cool down lap he had driven up the field to Plato.....

Honestly, I think the final contact has to be taken as a racing incident as a legacy of going three wide. However, Plato surely has to be penalised for everything before that...

For the lead early in the race? He absolutely did. He parked on his bumper and pushed him wide. The only reason we're questioning it is because JPs professional apologist, Tim Harvey, kept saying he wasn't sure he hit him. It was clear he did live, clear he did on an onboard replay, and clear he did on a trackside replay.

Only if you pick and choose which bits of the coverage you like. What about the interview with Ash and what O'Neill is saying?

Personally I thought the race was great. Good old fashioned touring cars rather than the processions we've seen too much of lately.

They left Paulo to the end, and he called it right. And then Tim changed his mind. During the race Tim pretended JP didn't hit Smiley, gave JP credit for not hitting other cars, didn't give an opinion when JP did hit Ash, made excuses afterwards...then only changed his opinion when Paul called it.

That's poor by any standards. Paul gets credit for having a spine.

Suttons driving was as dirty as Jason. Based on the penalty handed to Tom at Brands then both Sutton and Plato should be on the naughty step.

Rory B's pass to take the lead has to be a strong contender for overtake of the season. Fantastic stuff.
