spectre200 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'm pleased they're running 3 cars for Le Mans, that should help to even the chances with Audi. I wish they'd done more with the paint job, though. I was hoping for something more like the mock-up. It just doesn't look 'finished'.

this new livery is SO MUCH BETTER than the old one indeed 6 diesel cars will probably be leading the LMP1 field, I hope there'll be room left for enough diversity...

Unless Jacques Villeneuve has already given up on NASCAR having missed the Daytona 500; I would say that there is a very good chance that Beltoise (or someone else) will be replacing him on the list.

The Michigan 400 starts about the same time that LM24 ends.

If he's in the top35 before le mans he can do it:
He would be locked in for the race with the ownerpoints
and if he drives his last stint early, he can arrive in time in Michigan. Especially as crossing the Atlantic from Europe he wouldn't lose that much time...

I live not too far from MIS, and if the LM24 starts at 4:00 PM Le Mans time, then it will be about 9:00 AM at MIS.

The finish of Le Mans, and the start of the Michigan Sprint Cup race won't over lap, but then JV would have to ride the long out of service Concorde mach2+ airliner to get to MIS on time for the start if he does Le Mans.

I like the updated livery. Looks nice. Just a shame its a diesel. Still, I hope they can win at Le Mans. Bored of the Audi dominance.

Strong drivers in the Pugs. It will be a great Audi vs Peugeot battle.

Villeneuve is only confirmed for the first 5 races. So far he hasn't a main sponsor. And if he's still racing NASCAR in June the team can put another driver in the car. It's happens more in NASCAR.

BTW About the livery. It's still a shame they didn't paint the black parts white.

I was very suprised to see the name Jacques Villeneuve on the list of drivers. He should be OK for June because he will be out of NASCAR by then if last nights performance is anything to go by.

He had a loose car, c'mon I know you wanna diss the man at every turn because of is personality I suppose.

I am not suprised he was not sure if his Cup ride would come to fruition and if you actually saw the race, you would have seen the side and hood of his car are BLANK due to lack of sponsorship.

A start in the Daytona 500 might have produced a sponsor, however that will come later I suppose and of course you expect him to do well at the two (maybe 4 including the 2 Nationwide races) road course races, DUH.

He can miss a race or 2 because this year's rookie class while highly talented lacks general knowledge of running ovals and he'll miss a few races for sure besides this one.

I assume his Cup contract included him being excused from his ride to run Le Mans.

I do not see where there is a "quote" of Michel Barge saying there would only be 1 car at Sebring nor do I see it mentioned in the release from Peugeot at E.I. in either English or French(?). Is there one? I know the story lead with that premise, just curious.

Would it have to be a direct quote from a staff member? If it's in the press release from Peugeot then it's a safe bet. But I suppose that is debatable...

We will find out soon enough though.

You know.... Why don't you just go ahead and show me where in the press release it is then!! I have read it in English and suffered through translating the French version of the press release and see it nowhere. It is stated in the articles lead-in to the release but I do not see it anywhere else or as a direct quote. That is why I asked!

The 908 should be in test at the start of march(at the HTTT Castelet as usual)...

No idea of the drivers who will attend the tests though

Did they change their mind? In the press release of Feb. 15 it says

This busy calendar means that Team Peugeot Total will not be able to attend the official tests at Paul Ricard on March 2-3.

According to Sportmotores Marc Gené will miss at least three LMS round(Ferrari wants him more often on GPs)

Anthony Beltoise would replace him in the 908 number 7(as teammate of Nicolas Minassian)...
