for you everyone who enter in wtcc is a good driver.... well what else i could expect by a person who believe that CORONEL is an excelent driver and doesn't race in wtcc just cause for his luck is full of sponsor!

Rally and R.Raid are completely different things to WTCC and track but...

...drivers like Ma Qing Hua came from nowhere but then they proves to be good touring car drivers.

Nasser has proved to be a champion in rally raid and in rallies so he has the skills to do the job...he need only a little bit of testing and then if you see his lap times, there's not so much difference with the other middle contenders of the field...

So please

AutoHebdo got this right:
http://www.sebastienloebracing.com/g...-le-wtcc-2016/

Shocked, to be honest. Good to see, well, average drivers (sorry, Greg) in Citroens = probably more competion in 2016.

Probably we can say bye-bye to Craft-Bamboo. And I wonder what Chilton is going to do.

As for Al-Attyah - how can you judge someone's abilities by ONE race. In a Chevrolet. Put him in the Citroen and he could have fought for the top 10

In a no-update Cruze also...

Nika will reveal their 2016-2017 project on December 9th

http://www.nikainternational.se/

Seems they've changed their initial 2015 plans. Maybe they won't be the "Honda team Sweden" anymore

maybe a volvo's car with one of the 3 drivers that actually are developping the S60.

SLR said they hope to add a third driver to bennani and demoustier so it cant be a citroen for nika.

It would be strange if they let Honda Civic to get uncompetitive Chevrolet Cruze.

It won't be Volvo, they're only building 2 cars for 2016. Also the image on the website shows a Civic silhouette, so expect them to stay with the Honda. I guess the driver will be the surprise, no more Rydell.

Finding sponsorship isn't lucky. It takes a lot of work and big balls to ask for the crazy sums racing requires.

Much more of a circuit indeed, and they're running it counter-clockwise now. So for the drivers it'll be a completely different track.

Dahlgren back to Sweden, Björk and Ekblom to WTCC? I'm pretty sure we'll see Björk there, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an international driver next to him instead of Ekblom.

Edit, forgot the link: http://www.touringcartimes.com/2015/...-in-2016-stcc/

Shocked. I was sure it will be Bjork and Dahlgren

I don't know how Volvo wants to give the fight to Citroens with 2 completely unexpirienced in WTCC drivers. Dahlgren at least took part in 1 season

I see your point but Bjork has competed in WTCC.

That was a one-off. BTW, Ekblom also started a few races in 2007. Still they both lack experience compared to Dahlgren.

In any case Bjork can do really well, as for Ekblom I'm not sure

Dahlgrens WTCC-experience was under S2000-regulations following a calendar that didn't have too many tracks they're currently running on. So I strongly doubt he'd benefit from that.

I hope they both do well. I guess Volvo know how quick they all were in testing. If the car is strong, both are excellent touring car drivers.

Well, that's a dissapointment. A sloppy design, no substantial news and no driver. I might be a bit negative, but so far I fail to see why 2016 will be any better than 2015 for them...
