hmm, but not at Monza clearly

i wonder which of those 50 are full season? Just the ones on Marcel's list, or several others too perhaps?

Ignore the full season list on Planetlemans for now - It's likely that several of the cars racing at Monza are full season, but some of them are still looking at budget to do just that.

Others are not yet on the list. Maximum number of cars to race at Monza is 54 though according to the 0.36 x L x W x T x G formula the FIA uses for international races.

Perhaps there is a chance that some of the Pro-Am cars would switch to Pro Cup (perfectly doable) after seeing the 1st entry list.

Does anybody even care about the Pro Cup or Pro Am concept? I don't. There is just 1 winner in my mind: The overall wineer. The "classes" are based on driver experience nothing else.

fully agree Jason or Jessica; we all see it that way I believe which is why I think most of us are in agreement that it makes more sense for the Pro-Am category to be a sub-category of the overall, rather than split into two apparently separate classes, much like the Citation Cup used to work in FIA GT.

I think we should keep a tally on the points from an overall perspective on here throughout the season to see how, or if, this would affect the outcome of the championship.

Good point and I agree with you. I also follow the overall situation and do not care if the car on 6th position is leading Pro-Am or not.

Still, changing a Pro-Am entry to Pro Cup gives a team a guaranteed chance to make a decent class results (with so few cars in Pro) and even with less experienced drivers, providing some of the Pro cars drop out, they can get in top 5, even podium, in class. And that is after all the main class of them all. Must be better than being 10th in Pro-Am even though overall the result is the same.

This means nothing to us following the races but is very important for teams and drivers and maybe their sponsors.

This Saturday Beirão de Veiga and Ricardo Bravo, who raced the Rhinos Leipert Team GT3 Portugal Lambo Gallardo last year will be testing ASM's (former LMP2 team that ran Olivier Pla and the dreaded Zyteks) McLaren MP4-12C at Estoril Circuit.

Nope. Good to see Hezemans and Longin in the series. Thought Longin was only doing DSC so its nice to see him racing for Marc VDS.

Yup. Paltalla and VDS dropped this on Facebook last night, and it is a top line up they have.
Assuming the Z4s work as they should, they should be in with a VERY good shout this year.

Apparently Xavier Maasen has signed for a team, he hasn't said who but it's good to have another experienced pro in.

AutOrlando will no longer be in Blancpain this season, so far they've confirmed a 997 GT3 R GT Open entry with Archie Hamilton

Yes it is. The colors come from TAG Heuer sponsorship, because Karim Ojjeh seems to be the 3rd driver for that car: http://www.lemansportugal.com/em-dia...am-no-estoril/

Full announcement of the team's plans is on Thursday.

I made a mistake, oops. It will be Phil Bastiaans and Roger Grouwels driving the Porsche in BES. Dubois acts as a teammanager, at the moment they have 6 or 7 cars in their workshop, mainly for the Benelux Supercar Challenge.

Didnt know about Ojjeh sharing the car. Yes it does explain the colors too-and here I was working the Porteguese angle.. Nice kind of coincidence with Ojjeh in a McLaren again
