Ed Jones is back in shape. Watch out, Tomy Boy. Your new teammmate's moving in fast, but you're the one that's going to show who is the team leader.

Ed Jones may have beaten Sean Gelael for the Spa hattrick, with Roberto Merhi a long way behind, but those Carlin cars were not running in British championship spec. That would explain how Gelael dominated Merhi in the races. I don't think he'll feature that much.

Motopark will probably join the championship for the last 2 rounds and Macau (Autosport).

Some say love is a secret you keep sealed. But to Timo, love is a battlefield. I fear Motopark will suffer again in the big league.

It's all about money. For Russian Time they did a very good job in GP2.

It's not all about money.
It's not all about driver. Timo had Felix da Costa and Magnussen and he failed. |

And the fastest man in both practice sessions in Austria is...
...Antonio Giovinazzi???!!! I personally rate him as a driver, but he's not a patch on Ocon or Verstappen. This should be a fun weekend. |

This was when the cars were visibly different(remember Signature's car?), now the F3 rules are much more restrictive and the role of the driver is bigger. Also the role of the engine.

He had the best available in the market. Rare talent. Timo knows you don't have to lose the girl to be a woman. Just need to think maybe about how many people are going to be around next time you let her out. And today old-Tom won! But Buddha once said "It's better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles." Long way to go, old-Tom. |

I don't know this saying, so I'm not sure I understand you They were new to F3 back then, now it's more or less a spec formula, so it will be easier for them.
Anyways, Verstappen is now Red Bull Junior and he has tested the old FR3.5 at Zeltweg in the rain. Looks like the good old Red Bull road map will be used also for him. |

Several reports state that he did test, in addition to the photoshoot.

I hope Max does get a chance with Toro Rosso(even though I'm a big JEV fan), it will be a gamble, but if it works the results might be mega! The ability at his age to learn is so fast and then you're in F1, driving every other week, having a state of the art simulator at disposal...

I wonder if there's a chance that Max might get a few FR3.5 outings this year. It's genuinely hard to tell if he'd struggle or thrive.

Verstappen claims pole from Jones, Ferrucci (this kid is another special one) and Ocon. Damp-but-drying conditions.

Hats off to Ferrucci. Next American big thing. It appears he may be on the F1 loop.

Verstappen won a good race! Fuoco 2nd, Giovinazzi 3rd. Shame for Spike, he led the race on wet tyres, but as the track dried, so his chances evaporated. Ocon came home 6th, but Verstappen is 77 points behind. It could happen!

Verstappen probably would've won race 2, but another mechanical failure meant that the win went to Antonio Giovinazzi. Blomqvist 2nd, and Ocon ended 3rd, so the title should be his now.

In fairness to his team, it seems that Max's car troubles have come from some parts that are out of there control. Electronic gremlins, alternator failure, engine failure. The commentators were pretty quick to throw the blame on the team during Race 2.

Ocon's turn 1 incident in race 3 keeps Verstappen's title hopes alive. Someone won, driving an F3 car around some place in Germany.

Great race 1 (even if Goddard was using the Mclaren Weather prediction engine(TM) )
Boring race 2 with Verstappen's engine failure being the only surprise Great race 3 (though Goddard undid all his good showing in race one with some terrible blocking that earnt him a penalty) Nice close battle for the lead and for 3rd too, Max just about got by with a great move, but too late to close on those ahead. F3 Euroseries is definitely the support catagory to watch this season. |

As if the grid wasn't talented enough already, Motopark have announced that Marvin Kirchhofer will drive for them. I fear that unless Motopark get their act together though, Kirchhofer could be made to look pretty average in this field...
