I guess it keeps the terminology consistent.

Most likely the minimum pitstops are to stop teams from pumping too much money into doing any "fuel economy" development.... Similiar to why they include a compulsory pad change, to stop teams developing ways to do the races without a pad stop.

It is in the linked article, years ago teams were running engines lean and it was getting expensive...

By the supporter gear it looks like the all-red livery from the Sierra.
Also speaking of #8, BJR has unveiled 2 retro liveries: http://www.speedcafe.com/2016/09/06/...andown-livery/ #8 will be for BOC but in the colours of Brad's AUSCAR winning Commodore #14 is a retro Freightliner effort, using retro logos and trying to emulate the style of the '68 HDT Monaro. I think both look pretty good! |

That's a fair way behind where I thought it'd be, given their workload over the next few months.
Also interested to see how much Nissan/Nismo branding will be on this particular car. |

I'd say next year's plans would hinge around their Walkinshaw chassis.
They could potentially lease it out to a DVS hopeful, to ammortice some maingame costs. |

Can't comment on car prep I guess but Aaren acquitted himself well at Bathurst last year, if they stay out of trouble a top 10 should be achievable.
17th last year and 161 completed is pretty solid experience for a young bloke. Andre was out early but I can't remember who was at fault for that, but he does have a class win at the B12hr, even if he is holding up the rear this year in the LDM car. |

I didn't think you could pair up two 'main game' drivers? I know that Russell lost his seat but I thought there was a rule/clarification that you cant do more than 2 or 3 (?) other rounds per year without being classed as a main game driver for the Enduro Cup?? |

I don't think those sorts of things matter down that end of the grid.
It's not like a Whincup/Lowndes combination. The scenario we should consider, is that of Shae Davies. Will he step away from the main game drive, or will he be asked not to participate in the DVS races at Homebush? |

No, that was Pither.
Waters sat out Bathurst, due to Mostert's crash, but I believe he was entered as the secondary driver at the Gold Coast. He did 2 events as a solo driver, but Steve Owen stepped in for Homebush. |
