Stunning pics from everyone. The sunset during the Group C on Saturday night just added something else.
Have just about returned to normal temp and dried out, I feel really sorry for the organizers who have been building it up over the last few months to then have to deal with such crappy weather. Spent all Sunday up at Club corner and it felt more like a November day.
Apart from weather i really enjoyed all 3 days, great selection of cars in all series and sum great driving.
My only gripe is that it would have been nice to see more entries in the Group C / 90's GT / Modern F1 but you can't really blame the owners/teams for not wanting to risk their cars in such poor weather. Hopefully everyone will come back next year with better weather so they car realy show what the cars can do.

Purely working on the amount of fuel we used, cost of fuel per litre, estimated fuel consumption and a the GP circuit length I reckon the safety car did close to 270 laps over the 3 days. I don't about being on pole position for most of the races we could have won a lot of those races. The last race on Sunday the BoB trophy we had the legs on all of them. Shame we had the low fuel light come on again.

The speed you were circulating at some of the time, thought you were trying to win! But of course competing cars hadn't got all the electronic aids your Maser had.....

Great pics from everyone again! Thank you.

One puzzle never got to bottom of during w/end was 'Team' wrist band colour. For National paddock and races, everything was coded Blue, for New Wing and races, Red. Simple. Except that for some reason pit lane Marshals were instructed red bands were for National pit lane, blue for Wing...... It was only a problem during Friday, never got asked to show band after that....

Must be an ECO button in there somewhere ....

For next year insist there is a tow bar and fuel bowser (for those unfamiliar with the word there is always Google ....) fitted and just stay out when the opportunity arises.

You might have to make up enough time to offset the non-working transponder but I'm fairly sure you could negotiate a deal for doing more than the required minimum number of qualification laps.

Just set to race mode and the TCS never cut in once; those Silverstone instructors are smooth operators. We were skating around better than Bambi on ice as our tyres were quite worn and couldn't cut through the water. In the end RC asked for reports on where we weren't aquaplaning it was that bad.
Knackering but wouldn't have missed it for the world. I think I am now qualified to judge whether a circuit is raceable or not, and can give paid advice on where the GP circuit wet lines are.

Oh wasn't the transponder working? saw it fitted and never gave it a second thought. !

Chris Todd should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Well done to everyone for the weekend. Despite the weather the entrants and drivers were prepared to race hard on track and amazingly there was less damage than some other dry years of the Classic! (Formula Juniors aside)

I dont know if NICK WIGLEY visits this forum but a request on behalf of those spectating..........
Please would you consider having giant TV screens placed in sight some of the grandstands, as per Goodwood and other circuits.
Whilst it is good to have them sited in the paddocks and on the village green, there are relatively few people watching. (none in the wet!)
In the grandstands you have in excess of a thousand spectators and they have no TV to follow the race and Ian Titchmarsh's constant referral to screens we are denied is frustrating.
Before an instant dismissal of this request, it is quite possible to site at Club, Village and Woodcote. Not so easy for the other stands.
It would make an excellent event even better and considerably enhance the enjoyment of those attending.

Agreed, one of the highlights of the meeting for me. Some good sets of photos Brands, especially from the stands etc - impressed you went on the wheel (I thought about it but chickened out).

Thanks.
Caught the wheel early morning, so few people about it did 4 laps before needing to pick up anyone else. Several people in the next pod were very happy when it stopped

Impressed with those Pre War Sports car photos.

The Talbot obviously most photogenic.Leading for first half.

Our one driver race strategy failed when BAM the worlds fastest Nash never stopped when Fred stepped out and Patch jumped in.
They deservered the win whilst our second was more than reasonable.

My only gripes from the weekend were:
Where are all the big screens that used to be there? The only ones I saw were in the paddock areas. They were really missed as the commentators referenced them quite often.
We had to wait an age (half an hour) on Saturday morning for the paddock transfer bus, so much so I nearly missed the fj race.
Oh and quite a few of the tanoy speakers were u.s
