I think we don’t need Vince to ‘fix’ F1! Just get a race director who ignores his own rules, oh wait that’s already happened….

There were some great articles recently about the Toyota F1 effort. Basically in a nutshell, they pointed towards their corporate culture as one of the reasons why they failed.

Pity the did not have Ford v Ferrari as a reference, the problems with shown with the Ford culture may have helped them.

Zak Brown's take on F1 teams having too much say in the running of F1.
https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/a...boss-zak-brown “Some teams still look for excuses to raise the cost cap and win world championships with chequebooks” “The current governance structure of the sport enables a situation where some teams, to protect their own competitive advantage, are effectively holding the sport hostage from what’s best for the fans and therefore the sport at large” “At times it’s felt like a pantomime audition rather than the pinnacle of a global sport” Pertains directly to the Michael Masi problem too. and also “I see some other teams voting against their best interests solely because of political pressure.” Last edited by wnut; 30 Jan 2022 at 05:46. |

This article highlights comments by Mika Hakkinen on the risks that Hamilton
and Verstappen are taking with one another. https://racingnews365.com/hakkinen-c...ry-heavy-risks Bears thinking about and perhaps the stewards should be looking at the driving standards when they review the approach to 2022. |

I don't think the front and rear wings are major performance differentiators -- at least since 2019 when the "sticky upper bits" were banned. All the teams are capable of designing an optimised multi-element wing, it's fairly trivial.
The FIA listened to your wishes! |

No doubt the cars can now follow closer, so we've gone in the right direction. The problem is we still have DRS, so the racing still isn't quite what it should be. Let's hope it goes soon enough
