Really? Says who? I completely disagree. It looks mighty fine to me. Quote:

Exhaust-blown diffusers are supposed to be banned as of 2014. I understand that the exhaust outlet(s) will now have to be located on the upper side of the rear bodywork (as is e.g. currently the case of the TS030) or on the sides (as this used to be the case e.g. with the 2006-2010 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP).
The exhaust outlet cannot be located near to the trailing edge of the rear bodywork (as this used to be the case e.g. with the 2011-2012 Audi R18). I don't see any exhaust outlet(s) on the sides. The outlet in the rear bodywork, on the left-hand side of the "shark's fin", which is visible on this picture does seem to correspond to an exhaust outlet. I believe the exhaust outlet is reasonably visible on this high-resolution (2048x2048 pixels) picture. |

This lends credence to the I4-singleturbo rumors ....

Don't know if you guys've seen this but there is a movie with a small sounds clip of the car and a couple of shots of the engine on the porsche site.
Here: http://www.porsche.com/microsite/mis...x?#/philosophy Click on "our mission". A still taken from the clip shows this Last edited by NelisB; 26 Aug 2013 at 18:04. |

I take my hat off to Red Bull for what they do. I think we should all be thankful that they support motorsport like no other sport around...but, at the same time, I do wish they'd change their livery a little bit.
If Red Bull will be Porsche's sponsor, I hope Andy Blackmore is in charge of designing the livery. |

After looking closely it does look like a single cylinder test engine.

In future there bashing Red Bull (and others like Monster - very visible elsewhere in rallying especially) might become easier when more studies are made about the effects of energy drinks. Wouldn't compare to tobacco, but in principle similar thing.

Entirely agree, but in the case of Gulf Oil International I'm really not sure there's actually a huge amount of cash floating into the sport with it - indeed I'd be intrigued about what actual realities of what having "Gulf" written on the side of your sportscar actually entails.
Red Bull? Until it's prominently written on the side of a prototype (and I can't recall this happening so far) I'm not sure we can call it especially hackneyed? |

Red Bull is good at what they do: advertising to a very large group of people. Everything from Felix Baumgartner's space jump to my local kart racing event to the most successful F1 team of the day; it's clear that the potential fanbase is every expanding and is formidable already.
Some of the frustration comes from the absolute monopoly they and Gulf have on cars. Gulf more so with sportscars, Red Bull is generally everywhere when it comes to extreme sporting/gaming. No one likes a monopoly, but would you rather have a Red Bull or Gulf-funded Porsche P1 or none at all? |
