One man’s argument is another man’s conversation; Chianna/Maelochs have done nothing but stated an opinion, ascribing malice to forum comments is silly. Everyone here pretty much knows we have no control over how race series are run, that doesn’t mean we can’t vent/voice an opinion about it; hell this is a public racing forum. OK; this BoP subject comes up a lot and it does get tiring; I think everyone here acknowledges that, but the reason it does is because it does affect the outcome of races. Just looking at a few avatars it’s pretty easy to see we all have our alliances to different marques/teams and it gets frustrating when you think/know your team is on the wrong end of BoP. Some just choose to accept it as business as usual, some thinks it’s requires for parity, and some think it just muddies the water and ruins any chance of real racing. Forums are for expressing opinions, if you don’t agree make a counterpoint or just walk around the spill, you will be a lot happier.

Maelochs; I don't have time to post a lengthy reply right now, and I don't agree with every part of what you said, but it's a well balanced post above and I enjoyed reading it thanks.

Some ALMS news this evening:
PR1 has obtained an additional LMPC - photo here but no word on when it will race or who will drive. Also Dagys has tweeted that the first Audi R8 LMS Ultra has hit the US courtesy of Elton Julian's DragonSpeed team. No word on where this will race. |

AMR says they'd like to come to Petit Le Mans this year, but that is dependent on whether they get more funding from Lowe's Also, Elton Julian says his Dragonspeed team (just got an Audi R8 LMS Ultra) would enter ALMS IMMEDIATELY if the IMSA approves GT3 cars |

Anybody else think GT3s will be at Petit at the latest? Really feel like a good number of ALMS guys will be at the ELMS debut of the GT3s to see what balancing they use and the relative pace for themselves.

Wouldn't matter to me if it's just the MM/Dyson show in P1, if cars are circling Road Atlanta I will be there tues night (in line) thru sunday. But getting a chance to see the GT3 SLS/R8/MP4-12C etc on track is just a bonus, won't quite balance the lack of Audi/Toyota but it's not like the ALMS P1 guys would be close to them.
Also, any new developments in the pursuit of Scott Tucker? Always seems like there's claims of seizure of equipment and sealing the shop but there the team is at the track the last two races. |

What's the over/under on classes at PLM? I'm thinking at least 7 or 8; P1, P2, PC, GTE, GTC, DW, GT3/GTU(nclassified), and potentially EXP for 911 GT-H/918, or the hybrid prototype left out at LM. Might actually need to keep Andy's guide in my pocket trackside just to keep up with who's who.

You can add the Aston Martin Vantage GTE as a ??? (looking for funding, they want to go) as well as a 2nd Alex Job Lotus Evora as ???.
It's also not too late for wild cards like the talked-about BMW Z4 GTE to appear. |

Would really hope for a Z4 GTE of some sort. The M3 is getting a bit dated despite being only its second year of this development cycle.
How are they managing to keep up with the other guys who are running the bigger tires and more aero? |

Porsche plan (the last time we heard ) to request to enter an "official" non-LMP entry in the 2013 Le Mans in order to serve as an experience gathering trial run for their team before entering the 2014 Le Mans.
Perhaps they plan on running it there. |

I thought their mooted plan for 2013 for that official entry was a full Porsche Motorsport factory entry in GTE-Pro.
