It might be a case of no car, no sponsor or some other reason that would prevent them from displaying.

Given that they had 3 cars running in 2019, confirmed entries in 2020, and there are a number of drivers with budget looking for a seat, it would be a huge surprise (IMHO) to not see at least 2 cars from Motorbase in 2020.

Remember they lost Shredded Wheat, so need a pretty huge sponsor to run 3 cars.

You mentioned Vodafone which would fit, but if that fell through or was only a rumour...

Surely if Motorbase issue was 'just' the car not being ready for the show, they would mock up a show car. If there is some mega deal with Vodafone and Shedden along with a new Focus they would be using ASI as a massive PR opportunity to show off that they mean business

It is worrying times for Motorbase by the sounds of it. Let’s hope those Vodafone rumours are true, as it will mean they are secure for this season with a major title sponsor

Considering twitter silence since November, let's hope it isn't history repeating
Twitter silence is more down to that is when the person who ran the Twitter account finished in their role

It was hard to hear clearly but Matt James interview with Crees today at Autosport sounded as though he has a deal signed. So one of those seats is his, no idea which one though!

Huff did well for them in his one off round before, knows the team, has driven the car before (teams first podium I think?)

Not quite, Chilton got 3rd in the 3rd race of the season (then banged his head on the gantry whilst celebrating). Believe Huff got 2nd though?

Barely.
I'd say they were pretty evenly matched.

The other driver has the seat. They have driven in BTCC before. I imagine TG is keeping the announcement for a quieter time to maximise publicity. I would if I were him!

Coates has done the one round in the Infiniti, and Gareth Howell was pictured in their office a while back though that could've been just to stir things up!

Max Coates seems plausible

PMR is a less experienced less BTCC race winning driver than Rob. He drove for a different team last year.

Crees & Motorbase is a hunch I have. Butcher, Crees and Ollie Jackson to be precise.

I still think Smiley at BTC but maybe Flash.

And I agree with the post thinking BTC have a stronger line up than Dynamics. Whilst Cammish has absolutely got into the groove Neal was left wanting. Both Cookie and Sonic are better than Matt now. Matt a few years ago was fantastic, he's now just good. All my opinion of course.

Noticed the Duo branding is gone from the Astra at ASI. Probably suggests Collard is gone (though the smaller Hitachi logos are still there.)

Possibility of Collard at Excler8?

If he can't afford a HARD seat, then I doubt he'd have enough for a Motorbase seat?
