first race and all that but i still give it a 10. what a fantastic story, close racing, a new finishing order...this is really all we have been asking for for years.

9. Very enjoyable. New rules meant everyone tried different things and we had a topsy turvy afternoon. Shame everyone will probably learn form their mistakes soon and we'll have some conformity in strategy again.

i gave it a eight, but was by far the best race for a long long time, battles most of the time, only way it coulda been higher if the leaders were swapping postion more.
But a good start |

7/10 Yes a lot happened, but it was a bit too long... I had a hard time keeping my eyes open at about 2/3rds of the race.

Too long? It wasn't even 100 minutes...hardly an endurance race.
It is either 7 or 8. If halfs were available, I'd go for 7.5. All things considered, it would be a tad harsh to give it a 7. 8 it is. |

I gave it an eight, but that will change if they start altering results in the stewards room.

8 from me. Good race, plenty going on, but I would have liked to see some challenging for the lead.

I gave it an 8. Just hope the rest of the year can carry on just as exciting, that we get a load of different winners, and that Heidfeld can get some good runs and win this championship!

8 for me.
Good passing / racing, love what the rule changes have done but hate the look of the cars now, rear wing just looks silly. Officials & TV coverage need to lift their game. Official's shagging around with the SC and TV for the cock up post race interviews |

I voted 8/10.
There was a lot of passing, a lot of battling, some interesting strategies (notice how Rosberg's didn't really pay off, whereas Kubica's should've), and of course that wonderful storyline of Brawn GP conquering all. On that basis 8/10 might seem harsh, but I am expecting more later in the year. ;-) |

I feel like an 8 would be a good score for this race, but getting swept up in the whole event, Formula 1 being back in general, and slightly rueing not putting a tenner on Button at 6/1, whilst being delighted for him and the Brawn team, I went for 9.

Phenomenal race, craap coverage.
How can a "new" team as everyone kept calling it, with the same engine as McLaren, managed to beat a team with 100 times its budget? Underdogs are great to watch Now if only it had been named Tyrrell.... |

gave it a 9 - enjoyed it but would loved to have seen the end finish not under safetycar

7 - It was good. There was more close racing than last year, but from the mid-part until the accident of Kubica and Vettel not much happened.

Perhaps some watched a different race from me, perhaps from a different angle [their bet was further down the field?] and what messers Vettal and Kubica were up to one shudders to think, Championship contenders? not a chance with that display of gross stupidity. Championships are won with season long consistentcy not first race heroics. As the comment later made 'wonder what contract Vettal has in his draw at home'. Edge of the seat stuff for me; ten tenths.

Agreed. If I could change my vote, I'd drag it down to a 7 now. The spectacle of the race was still excellent, but the race has been spoiled (again) by trigger-happy stewards. Drivers can and do occasionally come together while fighting for position, that's motor racing folks. But in this case, neither driver was being negligent/malicious/dangerous/etc - it was a racing incident. Anyway, this is being discussed in another thread...

I gave it a 9, lots of close racing and overtaking. Much better than in previous years so far.
