mjstallard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Watching Sunday's race in London?

Well, I've just left home and moved to the "big smoke" to start my graduate job on Monday. Until I find a place of my own, I'm staying at my brother's which is all very nice apart from one slight problem - he doesn't have a TV. Which normally wouldn't be a problem (honest!), but for the WDC being at such a pivotal point in time..

Does anyone know of ANYWHERE that will be showing the race in London on Sunday? I'm in Balham, so something in the surrounding area would be amazing if anyone knew of it...I'm doubting this would be the case, given that it kicks off at 7AM

...otherwise, even less likely, does anyone know of a web site to watch the race online? I'm even willing to pay :S

I guess it's looking like trusting good old Radio 5 Live - will Ant Davidson be providing co-commentary this weekend, par chance? That would soften the blow of not watching the race.

How "desperate" are you? You could always go on the pull saturday night and wake up early to watch telly at hers

  • Ant Davidson is providing commentary for Radio 5 Live, don't ask me how I knew that being in Australia...
  • Cougar's got the right idea for you to try; and
  • Martyn, wash out your dirty mouth!

I could always promise her some "racey" action in the morning I suppose!

If all else fails, I have a cunning plan. I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but there was that advert for TV Licensing where some bloke was stood outside someone else's house trying to watch the GP. Now if I also equip myself with a radio, I'll be able to not miss a moment. Can't possibly go wrong...

I haven't seen it on before in London when I've tried....(remember being told by a pub near Leicester Square they wanted to keep their adverts on instead ) but then there are a lot of places, got to be somewhere!

I've got to try and stay awake long enough to watch it though as got Petit Le Mans to get through first!

It's hot here too and we have a Peugeot 206. Which is far from fantastic.

Though Indian food is on the way.

Normally you can go down to a pub that does football matches and as long as there are no local teams playing Sunday they normally put it on if you ask nice. If they say no ask them why they are so gay cos blokes like cars (normally goes down well so wear trainers). Off course you'll have to watch the repeat in the afternoon

Get a bed for the night at a B&B, they would have a telly in the room surely?

You could always "hang out" at Heathrow Airport, they have TVs in the waiting areas.

Hanging out in the airport sounds wrong...! Just google some sports bars and check?
