Moose Trophy 2005 Thread

I was just soaking in the bath contemplating my navel and thinking it was about time to start a Moose Trophy thread for this season. So out I got, towelled myself down and nipped into the FF1600 website to see what had happened in the FF1600 world in the half an hour since I last spoke to Ian Sowman.
Ah, a new, news story - and I add one that he kept to himself only 30 minutes earlier.
The Goughs are back Stuart will be doing the Moose and will be car sharing with Ian in other events. It probably also means that three dormant tenthers will reappear. Watch out for 'goughy', 'JnrJnr' and the infamous 'kartingdad'
So will Steve Roberts be tempted now I wonder?

I'm sure they won't mind in the slightest. They would probably take a very dim view though if today was Mon, Tues, Wed or Thur . I don't do Fridays matey.. Mind you, I'm toying with not doing any days soon. Early retirement sounds quite appealing.

lol

Anyway back to the thread.

Glad to see Stu and Ian back out again even if they are not in the same race. I was only thinking this morning what happend to Paul's Swift as it was a nice looking car.

Maybe we will see Paul back out in the No 8 Northstar car for the rest of the season......

Diz, just seen your blurb at the bottom of your post about the French.

Go to google, type in 'French military victories' and see what you get!

Trust me, it will cheer you up!

Yep, I could have done. But it doesn't help to remind you I'll assume that you didn't think to look at the top news story or the page marked 'Calendar' then!

no i did the fairly obvious thing which was to go for championships>northwest>news and reports and could find anything, nothing on the newspage at the front either.

you do realise that your reports pages are backwards, surely it reads better with new news at the top, rather than the bottom!

i look at the site regularly, but its a bit of a maze, either way its a good site, the report is damn good and sos the photography!

Well it isn't anything to do with the North West championship, which is why it isn't on there. And yes, we are a bit inconsistent with the order we do the news and it is a job to sort out when we get a moment.

I thought the obvious thing when you were looking for the date of something was to look at the calendar

Anyway, back to the Moose Trophy. Lots of cars, TV coverage - what more could you want?

Is there some gough marketing campaign going on ?

Its great that two such quality drivers have decided to do some more FF1600 racing, but all of a Sudden the Gough marketing machine appears to have gone into overdrive ?

The Moose Trophy TV coverage will go out in late December 2005 on Motors TV and early January 2006 on Five, I believe.

Dunno, I heard that they've signed a modest sponsorship deal up for the rest of the FF1600 season though...

I'm Ian. Hello.

Kevin Mills entering the Moose Trophy is big news, and I am surprised nobody has commented on it.
