If a multi billion dollar global backer pays you to put on a show, you oblige.

To tell the truth, I thought it was a gender reveal...

A Supercars Enduro Cup partner for van Gisbergen is yet to be announced, with 2018 co-driver Earl Bamber unavailable due to his commitments with Porsche.

Indeed. SRM really have struggled with the big BMW. For comparisons sake it would’ve been interesting to see how they would’ve gone with an Audi or a Merc.

It was surprising BMW didn't put someone like Mr Mostert in the car, in an attempt to sort it.

The likes of Mr Capo had little trouble turning a competitive lap in it.

Well Mr Boost did say he wanted his own team, maybe this is his push into the system. Massive News.

Perhaps.

It's not the first time in the recent past, that Mr Rogers has picked money over talent. Sometimes you have to do what you need to do, to stay on the grid.

Seems like GRM pulled his pin, even from the reported management team migration.

From a height perspectives, is #97 calling?

The insane levels of discounting of M1BMRWAU merchandise at Newcastle probably makes more sense now....

More insane discounting on boost mobile 1 merchandise if you look here. Also would mean and end to Valvoline at GRM?

It's confusing to me that the ten tenths brain trust are so vehemently against Richie Stanaway, his abilities, his personality etc. yet he continues to get drives and sponsors.

Just doesn't add up. Doesn't the industry read ten tenths? Don't they know to stay away from Stanaway?

Are you saying Richie has no talent? Most people said he was a Superstar this time last year, now he has replaced two proven drivers in the last two years.

Feeling really sad today because a generation I grew up watching (Lowndes, Tander, etc) are now all officially retired full time. Always wanted to race with/against them but looks like that chance is gone. (That and never got past testing for Kumho/Super 3)

Tough call for Rogers to make with Tander.
Am I safe to assume Boost and Richie were a package deal?

Does Golding bring a budget too?

I don't think many have questioned is ability. His resume is pretty good.

His attitude absolutely stunk last year when things weren't going his way. That probably put him off alot of people.

Maybe being number 4 in a 4 car team didn't help. No. 1 in a 2 car team might be better for him. Plus a character like Garry Rogers, along with an outspoken major sponsor, might also help when an attitude adjustment is required.

Interesting that Boost is leaving WAU to go to an effectively Walkishaw customer team. Wonder what kind of discount Mr. Rogers Snr. and Jr. gave Boost?

Have a look at average finish for any teams fourth car. His results do speak for themselves, relatively speaking.

As to his tantrums... Not a good look at all, but if it stayed on message and just given a few "the guys at the factory are doing big hours", "we're just trying to find a setup" etc. he'd have no drive this season. I'm guessing gaz interpreted the outburst as passion and anger at a situation that probably wasn't exactly how Tickford had described it
