Robert Ryan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Where is the Ambrose Daytona 24hr entry?

Looking at the cars testing for Daytona, I did not see the Ambrose, Morris, Baird and Teulan driven car. Can anyone fill me in on what has happened to it?

Interesting paintjob.... TRG is a factory Porsche outfit, although this car is a few years old now, you would think it would do better than the results shown so far... 7 seconds off the Flying Lizard car....

Maybe they should have brought the green Falken unit over...

Depends which practice session you read peckstar... In the GT Class...

p1 - Class Fastest: #75 1:57.830 (27th O/R) #00 2:04.626 (38th O/R) (diff 6.796)
p2 - Class Fastest: #75 1:56.986 (26th O/R) #00 2:10.350 (52nd O/R) (diff 13.364)
p3 - Class Fastest: #36 1:56.604 (29th O/R) #00 2:01.544 (40th O/R) (diff 4.940)
p4 - Class Fastest: #75 1:56.920 (27th O/R) #00 2:02.101 (36th O/R) (diff 5.181)
p5 - Class Fastest: #75 1:57.410 (29th O/R) #00 1:59.393 (34th O/R) (diff 1.983)
p6 - Class Fastest: #75 1:57.335 (26th O/R) #00 2:00.154 (41st O/R) (diff 2.819)
p7 - Class Fastest: #71 1:56.967 (25th O/R) #00 2:00.823 (38th O/R) (diff 3.856)
p8 - Class Fastest: #75 1:57.449 (23rd O/R) #00 1:59.996 (30th O/R) (diff 2.547)

There are some reasonable size gaps here... now this is indeed practice, and not the race... and drivers unused to the circuit, unused to the car, the preparation crew... but it isnt as close as you may have expected...

wouldnt be safe to assume thought that the most recent prac sessions are more representitive of a race pace.

ie you improve the car and it gets faster, i guesss also driver comes into play

You are likely right... its just not on the pace in any session... the very best time of the #00 car is a couple of seconds off the hot pace in any session...

TRG enters 6 Porsches at Daytona, see www.planetlemans.com. I think they have all to pay for "their" car.

Presumably Marcos and Craig have not arrived yet and they are going to put a more powerful engine into the car.

This will be a potent combo in the race, I'd expect Bairdo will be the fastest in the Porsche.... If there any similarity between the LHD Carrera cup cars.

But with Paul, Marcos and also Ferrari Procar John onboard it is a very quick combo.

Great to see an ANZAC team in such a great race. Do us proud!

Morris was exceptionally good in the Cup Car he drove at the Bathurst 24 Hour 03, so they should all be pretty close.

However, the car on paper is not a match for the top cars in GT Class (360 GTs, Porsche RS), even with a new engine.

The team will have to rely on alot of problems for the cars ahead of them, which is likely for a 24 Hour race.

True enough, but the Teulan 2003 GT3CC that ran in the 2003 B24 was quicker than the Alzen car (which seemed more highly developed..)

Perhaps the drivers remain unused to the Hoosiers... considering the local A&NZ cars ran on Falkens in the B24, and Michelins in CC...
