i remember reading an article in fast lane years ago with the primera, I think mar hales was driving it. Nice fast car but had off or on rear grip (none with cold tires and too much when hot).

Natural tendancy to understeer I would have thought.

wouldn't that mean you'd get oversteer?

stedevil has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
No, too little grip in the back would give oversteer.

So which chassis is this? The original ex-GRM '95 spec Primera that ended up with Mr Dale & co... of the 2nd chassis in '95/'96 spec that came (I think..) from South Africa?

The paint scheme could do with a tune up....

Too little grip in the back -> backend has tendency to step out -> oversteer.
Too much grip in the back -> backend "refuses" to let go -> frontend has problems turning into sharp corners - > understeer.

Its of course not a black and white picture, but different shades of gray, for what it the right mix on a specific trak of the oversteer/understeer balance. But in most cases you would like a car to behave like you want it throughout the race, and not change it's balance throughout.

That car must be from around Dandenong, Australia. Thats the engine builder on the side of the car.
