Goodwood Festival of Speed- Saturday or Friday?

I've been going to the Goodwood festival of speed since 1996 now (with the exception of 1999)

We've always been on a saturday, but as many of you will know, it's been getting rather crowded of late.

So my dad suggested that we go on the Friday, so we can browse around the cars, then see them all go up the hill in the afternoon.

I have concerns that not all the cars will be there, and it might not be so good, so i was wondering if anyone here has been on bothe the saturday and the friday, who could possibly weigh up the benefits of going on friday, as well as any downsides.

I've been on all three days. Sunday is a complete waste of money as you can't see a damned thing. Saturday is getting that way too. But Friday is superb - and so is the price

Have marshaled there a few times and all I can say is this;
Friday is a late start(midday-ish) and run till around six so you should be able to see quite a bit if you are willing to do a bit of walking around..
Saturday is not as bad as sunday but getting that way and don't forget that this year is the 10th anniversary so plan on it being busy..
Sunday is majorly busy and suggest getting there really early,finding a spot and staying there ...
