Dallara/ORECA
Is the program being continued? It was in danger after Chrysler dropped it, but is the ORECA/Dallara program still going strong?

So nothing serious then, which is a shame cos the car seemed to make good progress.

The customer program isn't for certain from what i've read. They might not be at Le Mans at all this year which would be a true shame considering they are one of the best teams out there. I certainly hope they get something figured out to at least run the race if not compete for the win.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but Oreca were advertising drives available in their LMP Dallara-Judd for this years Le Mans in last weeks' (6 Feb) Autosport; "You bring budget & drivers, we do the rest".
Things can't be looking good for Oreca, as I've seen the same advert for Vipers before Christmas and rally Citroen Saxo's this week. |

I knew Playstation was in the final year of their contract and I had doubts considering the current state of sports car racing in Europe and the fact that the Chrysler was originally going to be an ALMS entrant and became a one show ELMS and Le Mans effort and quit. That took a lot of steem away.
That Dallara in Kevin Doran's hands does not have the latest development that showed up at Le Mans in 2002, like the new front spiltor or rear wing endplates. Perhaps they can get those parts because, aside from various switches between Grand Am and ALMS parts, the cars are pretty much as recieved in late 2001. |

It seemed to me that those 2002 developments of the Dallaras were targeted towards Le Mans. I doubt they will make a huge difference to Kevin Doran's car on US tracks.
I *do* think that 5.0L Judd motor will make a difference though. |
