What’s with all the banal social media posts on the screen? No other sport does this and with good reason.

I hope its just for the first round back. Irritating to say the least.
Its always been a part of the series that are lived streamed to have running comments from the punters but more relevant and tolerable for enduros than for sprint races.

I kinda like the 2 wheel-changers thing.

Actually makes the 2 vrs 4 new tyres a time-based strategy call.

Also happy to have just Larko in the pits.
Stops the "inane question" championship that the pit reporters normally have
(although Jess did put in a late entry with Alex D...)

Can only agree with all you said. I also liked the 2 rattle guns and various tyre change options that offers. Made the race interesting from a strategy side as well as the racing as the options play out.
Larko is always good value.

I really enjoyed this too - also, I loved that they took away a lot of the data logging, it gave a new (or should I say old) dimension to racing, it’s definitely a step in the right direction - if only they dropped around 40% of downforce instead of 12%.

In this motor racing drought we’ve had, and Foxtel replaying many of the older races, even going back to the start of COTF, the cars moved around a lot more, I’d forgotten how much body roll they used to have to gain grip!
Sure it’s slower, but certainly no less spectacular.
Outright pace is spectacular for lap times in quali, but in a race the spectacle should be in the racing..

But overall definitely a step forward..

Btw, am I the only one thinking that if Cromley & Skaife were wearing suits & helmets they would’ve let loose in the 86’s? You could see the competitiveness starting to take over - too funny!

The racing is good but track limits penalties are very annoying.
If there is asphalt or concrete let them drive there. If they do not want that the drivers are using that space then put some turf here.

Nice to see Percat taking the lead

It's track that was designed for motorcycle use, so lots of tarmac run-off.

There's a yellow line around the inside and outside edges of the track, that determine where the circuit is...

It was a very enjoyable weekend of racing. The limited tires and only 2 rattle guns threw in some variables which made for an interesting and competitive set of 125km races. Agreed they should have been more aggressive with the downforce reduction. Great format and cool to see some surprise results.

Which you can exceed on some corners without risk of penalty but on other corners you cannot.
