I've noticed that such things seemed to be quite common amongst the teams back then.

I wonder if this hread would be better served in the chassis history archive? There may be posters there who don't venture into the world of current historic racing.

Thoughts?

It's so much better on here rather than the specialised world of rivet counters in chassis forum and the other place where I notice it has appeared..

At least people now know Nick's car is a very Historic car with full history prepared by one of the better blokes in that world,Ian Jones of Racing Fabs.Be bloody useful to him should he sell it!

The chassis info can now go into the chassis forum.

Peter and John; I'd already decided to copy most of this over to the chassis archive; I will do it, I promise. I wish that we could get this sort of input on other B6/B8 chassis as well as some of the other sports racers.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all the input on this thread. It makes for a very interesting read and I'm very grateful to all the pictures and posts.

Allen at OldRacingCars is going to have a look into the car so with any luck I will be able to iron out the uncertainties and will report back.

But it's been a delight to read everyone's input so thanks again!

Cheers
Nick
