The Eye should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The FIA track ranking

Should there be countries / courses that should be excluded from the FIA Track ranking system?

The immediate answer is of course NO! But if the Circuit des Tourneix - Châteauroux St.-Maur when it is their turn in 2013 do not meet FIA.s requirements, we may not experience an ERC of 30,000 in Loheac in 2014.
And I know the Norwegians do not understand why they have no ERC race in 2010!

It is bizarre that Norway has no ERC round but it is really down to their ASN. They kept nominating Momarken when the track/organisers kept being below standards, had they nominated another track/organiser earlier then they would probably still have an ERC round.
Are you suggesting that the French may get it wrong in 2013 allowing in a Norwegian round for 2014, lets hope not I cant wait for Loheac 2014 Lets hope Norway is back sooner. There are countries that need to be taken out of the championship before then.

With this ranking system the 10th country is out if there is a new candidate. I think that the French are taking a big risk when they alternate courses every year.
Norway have a lot of drivers doing the ERC, but that don’t help there candidate one bit. Shouldn’t these things be considered when FIA rank the countries?

I don't think some countries should get an exception on being ranked. The best organisers should get to run events. As it was, there was no incentive for organisers to step up and do better than they did the last 10 years, there was close to nothing in improvements. They need to catch up!!

Now you see movement in Norway. Politicians supporting the rebuild of Lanke. A loan of 500.000 NOK from an investment fund. 3000+ hours of work provided by volounteers. Everybody is awake now and they will do it right now. I'm sure that the Lanke candidate event this year will be fabulous, and that they will be on the calender in 2011, ranking amongst the best organised events.

I also do not fear that French organisers will fail to deliver an above par event. The FRC is almost as big as the ERC, they are used to organising big events.
