it was a good weekend of racing & a fair crowd on sunday
good to see a vast range of cars from the pre war era to the late 80s

Flaggie should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mate that was a fair event, but the one the Austin 7 club holds there in May is conservatively twice as big. Run up to one of them and you'll be drooling at the sheer variety of cars.

Winton in May - AVESCO snaffling date?

G'Day Flaggie, just about to go start packing for Bathurst (leaving tonite). I would love to come down and officiate one year but what is happening with the May date for the Historics - elsewhere in this forum it has been said that AVESCO has snaffled this date from the Austin 7 Club...

Wouls appreciate being kept informed (I'm sure there are others watching intently)

As I understand the state of play, AVESCOn have pinched the typical last weekend of May date for a V8 boredom fest they have the temerity to call a race meeting. 25 years of Austin 7 club's using that date just up the wall. How typical of AVESCOn.

Last I heard, the Winton Historics would be held the weekend after, which is the weekend of the 31st May/1st June. But watch this space.

Thanks flaggie. Winton historics in May is a damded good meeting. Lots of interesting cars.

I can confirm the 2003 27th A7CC Winton All Historic Date is 31st May/ 1st June with private practice available on Fri 30th.
