Stripping Paint from a Carbon tub
Fantastic Site!
I have recently purchased an older Toyota Atlantic carbon tub car. I would like to strip the paint from it. In the technical portion there was a mention of a solution to strip paint from carbon without causing damage. Does anyone know what this would be? Thanks Wally Butler |

We usually send the tubs out to be blasted using either crushed walnut shells, baking soda, or corn husks.

A piece in Autosport a couple of years ago on the topic of painting carbon tubs included a contribution from the owner of TT Race & Rally, painters of the Jordan cars who said that they blast the tubs. If it's good enough for them, etc...........
