VD Chassis generation help

Hi
I have a question! Does anyone know how the USA spec Van Diemens of the early 90's compare to the UK? They're not the same chassis year for year. For example the '96 US is mono shock, the UK twin shock. When did VD abandon the mono shock? The US 94 is twin shock, '92 and '93 are mono.
Hope this is not too confusing! I'm wondering if the US '94 is more close related to the '90-'92 generation? Or maybe I'm talking nonsense!
Thanks

The Van Diemen RF92 & RF93 is mono-shock in the UK too. I didn't think the suspension setups differed between UK and US cars.

I know recently Mygale offered their latest cars with either mono- or dual-shock, so maybe VD did a similar thing with the RF96 as I have only ever come across them with a dual-shock setup.

Thanks. I think the US '96 is not the same chassis as UK '96, rather a mono version of the '94. I'm just trying to figure out a car to buy over here in the US. I had a UK '96 zetec in the UK many years ago and vaguely remember how the chassis looked and its nothing like a '96 here! Shame pics can't be posted freely here, as I could post a pic of a chassis I'm looking at buying.
