thanks Fire for the meeting preview, the Honda looked really fast at Imola in the long straight, so I expect Tommo and N-Technology will do very well at Monza too

Dont forget that the Honda is super light, which helps the top speed.

After having won the last 2 races on the season in STCC I really hope they will be there, altho they probably wont have the same topspeed as the more aero efficient notchbacks they should do quite well. They werent that far off in the speedtrap at Mantorp.

They got their "wins" already in STCC? Economic recession? New Volvo boss? Thousands of Volvo employees notified of possibly losing their job?
Take your pick. |

Interesting Larini dropping back to support Huff by finishing 6th, after a potential re-ordering of positions with Rydell jumping the chicane (clearly Cleland & Martin had different interpretions on that move! )
I'm with John - I reckon Larini nudged him from behind and unsettled him - it wasn't an advantage, more spin avoidance. Strong race for SEAT...going to be a strange race 2 - Chevrolet looking well placed though. |

Why did Muller seemingly let Tarquini past for the lead, then retake the position later in the race with ease without Tarquini even defending ?

Also, just in race 2. Did Tarquini not totally cut the first chicane and gain some places, or was that another Seat ?

Phoa!! Zanardi, Larini and Muller 3-wide!
Too bad, there aren't more of those slipstream-tracks on the schedule! One or two more of those would be a real treat. OTOH there aren't many left of those with Hockenheim being Tilke-fied. |
