ADEE should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
yes & yes... i was there abt 10 days ago for an afternoon in a Caterham. Spent a few laps chasing Paul Rivett... winner of the Clio race there last Sunday... until I lost sight of him! Will be interesting see a full grid of FRens charging into the first hairpin.
How about you?

yeah shall be testing on friday.

raced at rockingham about 5 times i think, not been there since 2004 though & not round this version of the track either with the different sequence of corners leading back onto the oval. I quite like the place, first time i won a car race was at rockingham

So another Reon driver pulls out?

As for the Rockingham layout for this wekend, we lose the final right hander, which must have been quite a challenge, plus trade a fussy hairpin for a messy chicane and miss out the turn 1 chicane in favour of staying 'high, wide & handsome' on the oval. We can all pretend to be Indycar drivers for a weekend well, about 15 secs a lap!

Morning All,
Stupid question - is there a technique for splitting the Madin rims fitted to club class cars ?
I have one that doesn't want to budge and am reluctant to use a lot of force.
Thanks.

I'm affraid force is your only option. Drive the centre out with a bit of wood & lump hammer. then use a rubber mallet to knock the rims appart while holding onto one of the rims. stand over something soft

best of luck

I have a new great question! I am missing the '1st gear lock screw' at the rear of the gearbox. I can tell it is a 3/8" rather fine thread but which one exactly? UNF or BSF?

If it's the Hewland LD200 box it's all metric

That may be true for the bolts holding the box together, but I found the one I mean to be a 3/8 UNF bolt. It's part no 19 on the exploded view / parts list. Maybe I have a pre-victorian LD 200 or something.

I stand corrected, a 3/8" UNC bolt works, so it's either that or a 3/8" BSW.

James,
We always use NGK BCPR6ET, readily available from most motor factors, about a fiver each. i don't believe it is paticaully critical though

No Problem,

I just don't know how long they are so I just want to get some spares. On another note do use a particular rod end supplier? I know they don't really have them in the Tatuus but the teflon liner has come out of one of them.

After asking so many questions I think I may be able to give some useful information in return, giving and taking, so to speak! I took the leaking radiator out of my 97 tatuus to a local parts dealer and they found a VW Passat III radiator which fit beautifully, cost me € 59,50. If I am the last to know I apologize for yet another useless post...

i always use raceparts for things like that, they have quite a selection but generally use the more expensive ones as they last longer

Ian,

Do you normally get you Tripode inner CV joints and housings from race parts. Nowhere seems to list 25 spline?
