Constructive, I have my opinions, just ignore them if you don't like it rather than spouting nonsense.

I assume this was meant to be ironic?

Can't wait for the season to start when, hopefully, there will be less petty moaning about the sport and more conversation about great racing....I'm not holding my breath.

We all have opinions on what is going on, the racing is not always great, it is sometimes, but unless you are blind, you have to admit things are not great in world rallycross.

Does saying it once mean it's fine? To the special people who would pay to watch cars being unloaded maybe.

Some people don't care, will happily hand over hundreds of pounds a year. I used to care, and I would again if things were done differently, but they are not. Until IMG is gone, this sport will be strangled. Someone needs to say it and repeat it. I have tried to contact them, but you cannot email them.

Are you supposed to just sit there and say nothing, is it really that much of a hardship to read negative comments, does it sadden your day! I doubt it. So just move along.

If you don't like what I write, do not reply, the special ones rarely do.

Good things still happen, they always will as behind all the garbage it is a great sport, I should know I have been watching it since the early 80's.

But right now it's like watching a loved one get sicker by the year.

How much do you really think you're going to change by moaning on forums though? It just seems kinda pointless, like a guy at a party on a Saturday night telling everyone that they have to be back at work on a Monday.

We all know there are failings with RX, I'm sure I've posted elsewhere that I won't be going to any events this year. But that doesn't mean that I'm no longer interested, or that I'll no longer watch it. I'll continue to post comments on the official social media about the bits that I don't like*, but posting it on forums serves no purpose other than slightly annoying other people.

*Which will also have f**k all effect, but at least is aimed at the right organisation

Basically agree with all that person has just said. Although I'll be going to Loheac this year cos it's an epic weekend. And it's only about 40 quid. And there will be 45+ supercars which all have a decent chance of making through the first heat (unlike in the group B days where the attrition rate was outrageous).

Rallycross has always had a mix of good and bad races. That's the main selling point of it! The duds are over in a few minutes and then the next cars grid up and the audience has that sense of " maybe this one will be an epic race".

14 cars for ERX as Bryntesson enters as a privateer in a Polo from Marklund. Marklund will support them as well.

I have tried to change things from within, did it years ago, and then what happened, British RX was dismantled from the inside out and now the same is happening. Less and less tracks, two series when there is only the need for one, a world series that has fallen apart in less than a year, a dead Ameican series, all for what? only greed, no other reason, how is anyone supposed to be happy about that?

As I have said numerous, times, don't respond, don't read it, I know don't read the happy, jolly crap written on here a lot of times. No-one on here ever says anything remotely interesting about the sport anyway, just have their noses up its bottom for whatever reason most of the time re-iterating rubbish from social media.

it's a forum for both sides of the fence, sometimes good things happen sometimes bad. if I say anything good because of who I am it is always forgotten when something bad is said, and vice versa for others, it's the nature of this forum.

there is NOTHING one can do to change things, so one feels powerless. I dont have millions to set up a series.

I do however know what that it can be a far more diverse interesting (as it was in Hickeys bummed out GpB days, really wasn't that bad chap, the cars were 1000% more interesting to watch and yes a few retired but give me 6 GpB cars anyday over 15 shopping cars that look, sound and o the same in a car park track sorry) and far better.

Agreed can saying anything on here change things, no, but neither can speculating about who drives what, wat engine is this, what radiators are this, so who really cares, about from you lot. So why not stir it up now and then.

it will never be as good as those days, but it can get closer

Well there is nothing we can do and it’s pointless going on about the same thing. This isn’t exactly proper rallycross anyway. It’s a different type. Not like the gopd old days

I saw the Group B cars in the flesh Chunder. They were great. So exciting to watch. The closeness of the racing was as varied as it is today, arguably more spread out as the quality of the field varied hugely. The driving standards were as good or bad as they are now too. Many circuits were better, I'd agree with that, but some were equally hopeless. One in Belgium springs to mind. And so many cars parked on the side of the road after a few laps. A bit like the British championship really! The new cars aren't as exciting as they appear to be on rails at times. The lack of gravel has an influence on that I suspect as a bit of wry gravel at Loheac and the cars are all over the place again. But the number and depth of quality is much better. Cars coming 15th in the WRX (eh GCK cars) would have won the ERX 5 years ago. That's the benefit of the influx of money.

Your comment about us lot all posting only positive comments is moronic and completely devoid of any facts. But hey, that hasn't stopped you in the past has it.

And this is a Motorsport forum. It seems the appropriate place to debate engine configurations and placement of radiators. It's arguably more relevant to a thread in the WRX 2019 to debate which driver will participate than rattle on for 6 pages about how it was better in the past (appreciate I'm guilty of that above too) and how you don't care for the sport anymore.

Well those GP B were the true pioneering days of the championship. Certainly got closer competition than expected, although it wasn’t consistent all the time. And there were some good circuits, but they all varied. WRX obviously goes for different circuits. And you often had a few too many crashes back in the day. The WRX is there for star quality. Certainly some ERX regulars have struggled because it is different for what they are used to.

I can understand why people enjoy this type of rallycross, it certainly gurantees close action in each heat, even if it is not what we are used to

Personally I feel it’s all about entertainment than the technical side. I agree, this is not the place to go on about the past, this is a different series to the other ones

For me the biggest shame is there are loads of egible cars out there but only a handful made it through either series. And their is an awful lot of waiting on 16 cars events... In the beginning you had ERX and WRX next to each other, much better. I really hope that someday their will be a northern European championship with loads of French, Scandinavian and other involved drivers. But probably never gonna happen...

Yes it seems to be a series for specialist cars. But that’s the price we pay. Obviously WRX decided to go it’s own way. There’s no need for the Nordic countries to set up their own series, they still have the ERX series

They already have, even if it mostly revolves around Swedish teams and drivers with a Swedish organisation.

Linneman, Gehrman and Kalliokoski were in ERX last year but have made the switch to RallyX Nordic. ERX does not have same appeal anymore and RallyX is a growing series.

That I didn’t know. I can see why drivers want to do it. We’ll see how ERX goes, it might survive for some time, even with this Nordic series

You can set up a new series.

Just have to give IMG 2 million squid to buy the rights.

Nice touch

I see there are some photos circulating of EKS cars testing today: looks like Szabo, Bakkerud and Doran will all be using 2018 specification S1 with EKS running the cars.

With that in mind, Andreas in last years car just became my top bet for the Championship.
