I think you'll find one of the other photos clearly states that it's Paul West.

He was one of my wonderful bunch...

I said he could wear the hat to add colour to the event, but he was told (politely) that he should take it off if he had to go to an incident. (It's an awful lot of floppy inflammable polyester to wear on yer head if the car goes woomf).

Of course when the incident happens...he becomes famous.

(and slightly apologetic to his post chief)

For the feature race we planned to rig a noose to the hat, with the other end attached to a solid object(me). Just as well because the double takeaway incident (c'mon who ordered Indian and Chinese delivery to post 4a, own up!) sizzled a bit.

BTW kids, if you ever marshal 4a, this is not the approved way to leave the post.

I agree with gary, had so much fun. will get round to e-mail the photos to you all. Have received photos of the Brazilian driver today, after returning from work in Kidderminster.
