The simplest answer instead of all this surmising is to ring the circuit office. The MSV staff are extremely helpful and will explain the arrangements for camping and access. Telephone No. 01829 760301

Only live 45 minutes away. Am I going to travel each day? Hell, no!!! Coming armed with a new tent, lots of beers and a 12v cooler box.

Bring it on

I believe that sometimes opposite the pit straight (as previous years) the ground is not up to it. This may be why we are now further round on the 40 acre field – used as family camping?

Wonder if we will still be in our own section on the field with showers etc?

Can’t be as bad a the GT/F3 meeting this year in the general area, where people decided at midnight and beyond to have their own little party, that the rest of us (and the villagers) had to listen to, thankfully security stopped it eventually.

I'm coming down as well, camping as usual. Be good to see some familiar faces again. Lets just hope there's no repeat of last year's almost death by sunstroke

Just noticed on the instructions regarding camping on the 40 acre filed, it also says "CAMPING IS NOT AVAILABLE IN ANY OTHER AREA" Is that marshals camping or ALL camping is in the same area!

Anyone?

If marshals camping is in the same area as spectators, I will be camping elsewhere, most likely where the drivers area is.

I'm down for camping, and have no extra pass for this.

Personally I don't mind if its with family camping, or adjacent to family camping as long as its not with the noisy B%*##*s camp area shouting and dancing till midnight and beyond when I am with my kids in the caravan.

Just looking here....
https://tickets.motorsportvision.co....ProductID=3727

It shows family camping as no noise after 21:00 and other camping as no noise after 23:00 (yea right!)... However only family camping was on the 40 acre field last time, but the map shows the only camping as the lodge entrance to camping site...... oh no I was looking forward to marshalling this again, but not if my wife and kids cant sleep!

I've still no tickets but it is still two weeks to go. For the first time I did not volunteer direct with Barc but through the O/P volunteer sheet. Are these tickets still to go out?

Anyone got a spare ticket for this that I could use please?
I emailed Becky today to see if I'd got on the list as I only got my volunteering form off to Dave Cleavely on the 5th of May, but she's run out of tickets

I didn't know there was fire training on again..
I did it at this meeting last year and would certainly take advantage of the refresher if it's being held again.

The fire training is on the Sunday morning before the BTCC. Don't think they would like clouds of powder floating around whilst they race!

The training is a refresher and does not count as a training day signature. If you wish to attend then drop the Flying Muppet a p.m. to get your self on the list. See you there (I'm one of the Fire Tender crew!)

Interesting, because I did it last year, at the time the only Track training had done, and Muppet signed it under training in my PRC, and then signed my upgrade at the end of the day.
