Anything from the test? I haven't seen any new pictures aside the one's shown from a couple days ago. No news either.

No, those are taps that plumb to the bottom of the splitter and they are then able to understand the pressure distribution on the splitter lead-in and wherever else they plumbed them. They're a test item only and are for data collection.

After all, they were "just" testing new michelin tires
Saw that on twitter: https://twitter.com/NISMO |

My point now is... where are they going to put the batteries (hybrid System) in the car????
In the rear end?!?!? Are they trying new rear rims to evaluate something that would happen in the rear end of the car?!?!? |

Judging by the size of last years hybrid, they will package it within the confines of that. Seems the most logical. The tunnels take up a lot of room! I'm not familiar with what these battery packs look like? Do they have to be in a set or can they be flat and long? Like I said a few posts back, lay them flat an thin within the tunnel floors. Nice and low, plenty of fresh air to keep the temps down. What do I know though ? Not a lot

The rears look wider - maybe testing a little more rear grip?

They are absolutely wider, and appear to be taller in sidewall profile too.
I think it's obvious at this point that the 2016 bodywork won't be the same....some obvious changes will have to happen at the rear. |

Is there any confirmation if they will try to have "partial" 4wd deploying power to the rear axle...or it will be like this year, all power to the front?!?

Seems like the key elements they banged on about in the videos seem to be fading. Wasn't running a thinner tyre due to weight been more front biased. Maybe the batteries will be further back, effecting weight shift resulting in need for more rear grip. Also the narrow tyres made it possible to widen the rear diffuser which they won't be able to exploit as much. |

If the rears end up encroaching too much into the tunnel airflow, one wonders if venting through the top of the tunnel/bodywork - and thus upon the lower part of the rear wing - would be functional.

With the flywheel system removed from under the drivers feet the that leaves a big hole that could be used. I suspect you will find the batteries in there possibly with a motor generator unit for the rear of the car.

The wheel in the photo looks like it has been borrowed from a GT car. I imagine the donor car is up on bricks just out of shot...
I guess they are heading towards a more 'conventional' front engined design, like the old Panoz GTR. |

It's easier and less expensive to borrow the proper offset than to machine, or forge a bespoke wheel to fit bodywork that hasn't been produced.
