Nobody has seen the new Ferrari yet!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite Michael breaking the lap record today at Fiorano for the second time in 3 days, Ferrari fans can expect even more! According to Tifosi-club.com, The new Ferrari apparently ran with no bargeboards, no winglets, and the same front wing as used in Monaco (Thats a 9 month old wing!). Apparently Rory has been working frantically to get the new winglets and bargeboards ready for tomorrow's test, however, the new front wing - labelled the "seagull wingspan" - will not be seen until after Melbourne.
P.S It is rumoured that the nosecone seen at the launch is a simplified version of the revolutionary "Double keel" nosecone. This modified nose will be used for the first couple of races until the apt amount of testing time can be spent on configuring the double keel. Last edited by z2252314; 13 Feb 2002 at 11:39. |

Have you never heard the saying "the best things come to those who wait"?
ALternatively you could try the Ferrari website -> www.ferrariworld.com (It also helps if you speak fluent Italian!!) |

I have been saying this over and over again. What we've seen so far is not the real deal. I can't wait for this "mad" front wing. THEN we'll have a proper F2002 to wich I can drool over...

There are never any Ferrari F1 cars to drool over. They are always one of the most boring cars on the grid.

Great pics at that site, Hakk. Wouldn't it be funny if Ferrari raced this year without barge boards.

No barge boards? I'm all for it!!!
But the question must be... If the simple F2002 can do those testing times, what on earth is the real F2002 gonna do? |

Where did those little winglets come from? I liked the car at the launch better...
One thing though - I can see why they don't want to show off too much to the opposition so early - but why bother launching a new car if it isn't your new car? I'm baffled! |
