What's James Thompson up to this year? Could we see him in the second BTC Racing car?

It's being made out as a bit of a special announcement, with all respect I can't see it being bigged up this much for someone like James Cole. Can it?

Thompson's doing the same he did last year, and the year before. It doesn't involve racing.

And I don't think anyone's making out that BTC's announcement is anything big. It isn't.

I still would like to see Josh Cook alongside Ash Sutton at Subaru.

They seem to work well together, clearly like each other and both deserve a seat in a good car.

That may or may not be relevant, but it may alter some people's trail of thought if they are predicting things.....

Also, don't rule out Excelr8 from making some kind of a splash just because they're running an ageing car. Whether anything exciting happens this winter or not I'm not sure, but there's ambition there for the future, so don't rule it out.....

So are Paul O'Neill, Danny Buxton and Charlie Hollings.

They were there working for McLaren. And I think the job's now finished, as they all seem to have gone to Vegas, so will probably be heading home in the next couple of days.

Matt Simpson's livery was unveiled today at some show called Motorsport with Attitude. Bizarre name for a show, but anyway.....

Not sure i think much to the livery, messy.

Nice to see a different livery after 3 years with a near-identical one, but I agree I'm not quite sure what to think of it!

I like Matt Simpsons paint job, will add a splash of colour to the grid. Shouldn't have any bother finding where he parked it either!
