Well after reading all info, i have booked to stay at l'eau rouge camp site. Says 3Km from track so should be only a quick walk away. Ans apparently a bar onsite so can't be too bad!

Let us hope so, would be fantastic news for the Spa 24hrs IMO and would help make the already best GT 24hr sportscar race a whole lot better. Lets hope the Aston Martin's do get into the Spa 24hrs this year, would surley give the Maserati squads a whole lot to think about.

Hello, I'm new on this forum. First I'm sorry for my english but I think it's not so bad. I'm a great fan of the 24h of Spa (only 2 misses since 1986). I'll try to give you some informations from Belgium (entry list, etc...).
To begin, a good news. Aston Martin will engaged 2 DBR9 in 24h of Spa. The Belgian sponsors are Lease Plan and Body Coach. Already on the cars this week-end in Silverstone. http://www.planetlemans.com/index.ph...view_photo.php |

As a Spa supporter, you'll find quite easely some chums around And for the website you mention, you'll be glad to know that it's quite close from TT - what do you think, Sander ? Have fun, and don't forget to pay a visit to the "FAQ" (where you'll find rules of the forum). Cheers ! Fab - Co-Mod |

What do you think pole will be this year.
Last year was 2.15.xxx The DTM car were doing 2.13/14s today. Reckon the Astons could get down to 2.14s even with the theorectically slower ACO regs. |

No success ballast applies at Spa for the regular runners either so I think one of the Maseratis may well get in to the 2.14s.

With the Arrival of the Aston Martin's im not ruling out the possibilty of the Spa 24hrs pole time being faster than the DTM times, especially when u remember that the Spa 24hrs is in late summer so track conditions in theory should be ideal.

in theory yes, but it's Spa we're talking about. could be anything, weather-wise, allthough we can probably rule out snow. but anything else goes...

Should be quicker as the DTM car qualified in the wet....
Fastest race laps were in the very low 2.13s for DTM today. If its hot, which it can be at Spa believe it or it, then I dont expect track conditions to be ideal but u r the sage of sportscar racing Saleen S7R... |

In the Belgian Newspaper "La Dernière Heure-les Sports" of today, there was the line-up for AM at the 24 h of Spa.
Brabham-Turner-Lamy-Kox-Ortelli (or Sarrazin) and... Marc Goossens |

Yes, last week Stéphane Lémeret said (forgot where) that AM had chosen Goossens over SL.
One of Goossens' sponsors should have been on the Astons in Silverstone, I'll leave it to someone else to check that out... Stéphane was looking for another seat... Has he found it yet? |

Isn't lease plan one of Marc Goossens' sponsors? They were, if I remember, sponsoring him during his f3000 and Lamborghini f1 years.

So, has Aston Martin Racing confirmed it'll be at Spa? And will they run three or four drivers per car? (The former, I would guess and hope.)
