Circuit de Catalunya

I am looking into going the LMS round at Circuit de Catalunya in April next year. Does anyone know if it is possible to get track by public transport.

Looking at the website you can get there on the train can anyone confirm this and tell me how far the walk is?

I was at the F1 there last year and we lived in centre of Barcelona. We took a train from some station and came to Montmelo and from there it was maybe 4km walk to the track. Worked perfectly. Train took maybe half an hour.

Its quicker to walk for the F1, but no trouble at smaller meetings !

Stay in Barcelona or Gerona and catch the train that runs between the two (RENFE Cercanias) and get off at Montmelo, its a 2.5K walk to the circuit and takes about 20 mins, depending on how fast you walk and whether you stop at a couple of excellent cafes for breakfast (on the town square just as you get out of the train station). Take left turn out of the station road and walk through the town until you go under main motorway - take immediate left up the hill (small lane past cemetary) this will get you to the circuit quicker than following the road all the way round to the main entrances.

Train costs only a few Euros return (get an Ida y Vuelta ticket if you are asking at the office or an Ida y Regresso if you get one from the machines) from Barcelona Sants station.

Have fun its a great circuit!
