I generally find Vauxhalls a little on the boring side, but the Astra makes a good looking touring car.

Agreed, it's a real cracker.
Anybody know if it was Senna or Tom driving the Vauxhall today? I can't help but feel like they could've done with someone with plenty of NGTC experience like Dave Newsham to help with the development of the car - especially at this stage. |

Anyone notice that the PMR Vauxhall doesn't seem to have bonnet slats? Is that the first car since the turbo engines came out that hasn't? I wonder why this is different...

And Simpson sponsor the Ginetta Juniors too - if money was tight they wouldn't be doing that as well as the BTCC effort.

This doesn't bode well for the season. I can see Team Dynamics spending a lot of time rebuilding cars rather than concentrating on winning championships:/

NGTC engines don't get stressed anywhere near as much as other turbo race engines (ie WTCC) and don't produce the same amount of heat.... therefore why introduce slats that create drag.
If NGTC raced in warmer climates with longer races... that might change. |
