GT2-R should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I've never been to Europe but it looks like exactly those days I'll be there and will be able to go the Saturday so it's really disappointing it ha to be this year when after so many years of being a World-Class event, it's now Pro-Am

Fortuantely there is FIA GT1 World Championship tat day too
Silly FIA, they just don't get it... The Pro-Am was the main raison for the epic fail of FIA GT2. Hope Schnitzer and Co. will put some pressure to allow full pro line-ups.

wow, will have to try hard not to swear at that news, what a ridiculous ruling - i hope too that the teams are able to put pressure on the FIA to relent their utter stupidity.

Though are we sure that applies to all teams in the 24h and not just those eligible for the European Cup? Would make it a fairly meaningless trophy if so, but BMW for example aren't even in the GT2 category so do they have to adhere to that rule? And would a team like AF Corse / Prospeed be able to field a full lineup of pros and therefore not win the 'Cup'?

The Audi R8 of United Autosports has also brought in Eddie Cheever. A very North American smell to this team:

- Eddie Cheever, Mark Blundell, Zak Brown et Richard Dean

2nd car has: Alain Li, Mark Patterson, Stefan Johansson and another to be named

Interesting, Eddie hasn't driven anything in over 10 years except for maybe a historic or something like that, right?

Not a factual site, but apparently he drove in GP Masters in 2005 and 2006, according to Wikipedia.

Certainly he seems to think this is correct! You would think he would know, but then again Timo Bernhard's ability to forget he and Rocky had ever driven together suggests 24 hour races are forgettable to drivers...

Possible Kessel racing with either GT3 Ferrari or GT2 Ferrari and possibly Autorlando with a Porsche

Ferrari had never done the 24 hours at the Ring before either. They would be a nice addition.

CRS drive 2 GT2-spec Ferraris in the GT Open.

I hope we see at least, most of the GT3 Europe field at Spa. They have been providing us some good racing.
