Thank God they are doing this! Speed is almost unwatchable these days with all these idiotic reality and game shows. What the heck is a talent contest doing on a racing network?????

http://formula-one.speedtv.com/artic...dband-channel/ I believe if you are a subscriber to Speed (ie. have Speed on your cable/dish) it will be free. I would hope that for those that don't, it will be available at some nominal cost. The video's will be both live and VOD. |

This sounds like the first step in the right direction for Speed in a long long time. Back in 1997 when I first watched Speedvision it broadened the motorsport horizons of a young teenager more than I thought possible. Now I'm not sure I've watched it in the new year save for the ALMS or the Saturday touring car block.

This is definitely a step back in the right directly. All of the vintage racing footage and documentaries were good stuff. It'll also be nice to see the Nurburgring 24hrs and other international series race.

this is a positive sign...let's hope it sticks and NASCAR has no place on SPEED2 since SPEED1 has that well covered at the moment.
would love to be able to watch ALL Touring, Saloon and Sportscars from around the world again. what a novel concept. |

As long as they don't inundate us with too much NASCAR (a little is OK) and some of those made up type racing events it has to be a good thing (I hope anyway).

FIA GT1 and GT3; DTM, WTCC, BTCC, 24 Hours of Nürburgring and VW Scirocco Cup; IRC; FIA F2 and F3 Euroseries; FIM Motocross, Enduro and Supermoto WC; TTXGP. So that includes the FIA GT, DTM, BTCC and WTCC packages. But it also includes American Muscle Car, Behind the Headlights, Back in the Day and Victory by Design. As long as it isn't NACAR< all the time.
Speedvision was the best broadcasting ever. But, sadly that was before Fox came on the scene wasn't it? I'm still waiting to find out the how/when of of it. How will it be delivered? Hmm? |
