OK, Kumpen and Hezemans, but why??? As you say, Piccini was mighty in his stint.

It will all come out in the wash, I guess...

Didnt Piccini have a budget for three races? Was it the first three or just any three?

Although I am happy to see Kumpen back with Hezemans but Piccini was doing really well, what a shame.

Odd that we have lost Piccini, he is mighty when he has the bit between his teeth, Kumpen and Hezemans though is a line up not to be scoffed at though. One of my favourite's for the race in that's for sure.

Well they've tried to copy DTM with the 1 hour format, but I think it's a mistake.

Whilst last years 2hr format might still have been too long for "mass market" TV viewing, I think a better compromise would have been a 1hr 30min option. Especially with driver changes the 1 hour format is a bit of a joke frankly, plus 1hr 30min still gives enough time for Adverts and Podium footage etc to fit in a nice 2 hour packaged programme.

So what is the formula for this series? Do they have 2 races per race weekend?

When i went in 2006 you could pay at the gate, but of course it was a bit more expensive that pre-booked tickets

Practice done - new layout described by some drivers as 'horrible'. Also Maserati and Corvette gain weight and Nissan and Aston lose it.

Well the only Ford that truly dominated was the Matech car when Grosjean was driving, so probably the perfect way to equalize the Fords is(as someone probably said here a few days ago) to fill his race suit with lead or something of this sort.

Was at the track today for the last few hours - didn't see enough of the new track to make much of a judgement but I did notice a lot of people climbing under fences & onto the bridge parapet on the new section of track (to the annoyance of trackside security) and so on to get pictures as there is now a huge lack of spots to get a clear view without a 500 metre fence in your face.

No sign of the Marc VDS Mustangs which is a massive disappointment. Guess they were withdrawn.

And it was freezing cold as usual.

If they are racing the new fenced in arena course, then why not allow spectators in the fence and up to the new one? Where is the harm in that? What, are they going to have the TV cameras in the same places outside the fence and have them zoom in?

Q Race is at 5:15 Saturday afternoon, C Race is at 3:15 Sunday afternoon.

http://gt1world.com/news/article/sil...ent-timetable-

Wierd, because GT1 TV says otherwise (2 and 4) and it is GMT time.
