ATF should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Doesn't say if it's live or highlights on the BBC though?

It amazed me how much the FE viewing figures went up when they showed a race on BBC2. I really don't understand why people find it so hard to use the red button services but going by comments on social media and forums over FE many do.
shame its just on the bbc red button service
its only a tiny amount of viewers watch through that

Like I say though I never understand why. It's a separate channel as well as being available via the red button from the main channels so it can be recorded and scheduled just like any other.

Maybe it's because it doesn't show up in TV listings in newspapers etc but I'm surprised anyone still uses those for TV these days.

Perhaps numbers will grow?
ITV run the BTCC Qualifying via an online only streaming channel, and that seems to be reasonably popular.

Excellent stuff. I'll catch up with this on the iPlayer at some point (there's the small matter of BTCC this weekend too ).

Having stuff on red button and iPlayer is fine for hardcore fans but the casual viewer is less likely to stumble across something on there.

Well I canít take any credit, I seriously had no indication of this in my April Foolís post. Unless of course the Beeb read my post, then decided to act....

Damn.

I thought him and Johan were going to be teammates, that was the plan, but the gig went to Leuchter and Ekstrom has no drive for 2019. https://www.motorsport.com/wtcr/news...-2019/4364190/

Thanks, that's good news. I hope it will be available for catch up, as I might not be able to catch it all live.

The BBC coverage is initially only for this weekend - I wonder if Eurosport are using it to encourage people to subscribe for the rest of the season?!

https://media.sportbusiness.com/news...season-opener/

The BBCís WTCR deal, which was agreed with the propertyís promoter Eurosport Events, initially only covers this weekendís Marrakech Grand Prix, with three races taking place across Saturday and Sunday.

Few considerations after first 2 rounds.

Between Race 2 and Race 3 IMHO there must be more time in order to repair damaged cars otherwise all drivers will continue to drive too much careful and will avoid any risk.

second thing is that in such a short race DRIVE TROUGH is really too much penalizing cause it removes completely from every kind of battle the driver penalized.

I think that in situation like the one between Muller and Priaulx it should be better to give time penality (5-10 seconds).

Well letís see how the rest of the season goes

Itís clear we have a good concept despite a few flaws. Certainly a sprint series is fun, but penalties could be imposed better. Weird seeing so many drivers still going after all these years though. Maybe not so much Priaulx

This season is looking more competitive than last so far. they've done a better job with BOP. no one car dominating yet.

Yeah, it's looking good. Close racing and no clear winner at this stage
