Team 18 knows all to well what itís like to run old equipment!

Tekno should take a page out of there book and step up and update! If you want to compete, then upgrade!!

They are locked into 888 pay-to-upgrade ecosystem, presumably without the capabilities to design and manufacture their own upgrades.

A double-wishbone front suspension is hardly rocket science, you'd think Tekno could design and manufacture their own competitive item? However, said well designed component does seem to elude WAU too...

Surely things were better in the days when small teams like Larkham Motorsport, Cameron McLean Racing, Mezera Racing, Faulkner Racing, Brad Jones Racing, Prancing Horse Racing, Team Brock (Rod Nash Racing), Briggs Motorsport and others designed and built their own cars (or at least their own upgrades for abandoned 00 Motorsport BAs)? "How hard can it be?"




Imagine if Briggs were a mere sans-machine-shop customer team, beholden to the upgrades designed by others, when purchased by 888? What a setback.

Well thatís the problem when you are a customer of another team. You get what they give you. Of course there is still innovation, even if it is restricted. Certainly itís closer to the road going version than it has been

Itís a good job these teams do it to be honest. Keeps some teams going. I feel this series has a good balance and itís a great tin top series as a result

Isn't the problem though a financial one, in that the cost for Teckno to upgrade is the issue?

Second to that, how much further benefit would the latest 888 gear actually provide anyway? It's currently not doing much for 888 themselves.

I think it probably is financial, which is why they canít. Of course 888 have to sort out their own mess at first, before they pass anything on

It is absolutely their fault. Their lot in their racing life is a consequence of their decisions, made with consideration of the consequences.

Pick driver A, pick car brand B, pick engineer C, pick team manager D, pick team location E, pick enduro driver F, pick commercial partner sourcer G.... all decisions made with consideration of the consequences, good and bad.

This whole 'punching above their weight' thing is a way of trying to lift where there is no particular reason to lift.

There are 24 cars on the grid, and at the start of any race weekend, all start at zero... its internal paradigms that can get in the way of what's really going on..
