Hiya.
I am Tinysuzuki, I know this is probably an odd place for a 1st post on this forum (should have introduced myself in marshalls or asked about 1979 F1 but hey!) I see I have the fastest race time! I am quite surprised at that! Cheers. |

Hooray!!! I managed to cling onto eighth place! It feels great to be back in the points again (it means a lot down my end of the grid!).

Championship Standings at the End of Season One
And that is that folks! Season One Champion = KOPER! He pretty much ran away with it! I honestly do not know where he finds the pace! Season Two will start soon.. Anyone have any clever ideas or are we happy with how it is?? |

I would like to thank you all guys. The competition has been really cool. Great job Cougar.
Quote:
I was looking at times we all do. And realised that some of you can do fast one lap, but are struggling with repeating it in the same race. I also have feeling that some of you may loose too much time fighting for a position during first lap. I think the first lap in many cases was decisive. For example in the last race my best lap wasn't set on my best race time. My best race time is combination of: 1st lap - 25.7 and 2nd - 24.2. Anyway - I got this theory: If somebody beat my time that only means I can go faster. If I can't go faster using "my" lines, that means I need to find and try a different line. It usually works. To sum up, I am happy that the competition is really strong and we are pretty close each other on every race. Quote:
I think I had some ideas, but...have forgotten now. Quote:
However the keyboard in one laptop could be very different from keybord in another one. I got HP Compaq 6720s - this one was very cheap - built quality is poor comparing to pavillion series or toshiba's sattelites, but as I mentioned above I have no problem with my keyboard. |

ohhh...I would forget.
Creating a good track is not an easy job - I'm really bad with it. So here I would like to thank everyone who created track/tracks (especially mattt as I remember all of his tracks were really, really good). By the way, whitesedan - I rate your track (Raggedy Ann - last race) as one of my best. Number of laps. Number of opponents. Perfect for me. Thanks |

Thanks for the kind words koper, I enjoyed that track quite a lot, and the competition is great, I like getting to work to see that my time has been beaten and gets me enthused to try harder and work on new lines.
For this season about to start, how about we each create a track based on tracks in our own countries and then we can have a round at each competitors track, not everyone has to do this but could make it more interesting. What does everyone think? |

NEW SEASON ALERT! NEW SEASON ALERT!
Yes anyone can create tracks... I'd like a pool of tracks I can choose from. So if you create a track and want it raced on during the season let me know. For fairness maybe name it with a "TT2" suffix and then that can mean that if in Season 2 if you do come across a track with that suffix you should not race on it until it is announced as an official track for the season?
I think most prefer shorter slightly twistier tracks to long straights and sharp corners... IMO a short racetime is better? The last track was pretty good as you did not have to be consistant over many laps. The way the start was made was excelent as the traffic played a big role. My small oval was pretty useless in terms of traffic getting in the way. Ideas and opinions welcome from everyone on how you would like the tracks made. As for points scoring.. I think we keep the 10-8-6... system, but I want to add an extra point to each driver that is within 107% of the winning race time. The winner will not get this point though. So for example if the winning time is 100 seconds and the winner has the FL he gets 11pts as it is now... Then if position 5 is 106.99 seconds... 2nd to 5th will each get an added point (9-7-6-5)... In another race if position 9 is 106.99 seconds then instead of 0pts they will get 1pt. Make its a little more complicated.. But I'm happy to work it all out. Gives the guys down the bottom of the table something more to race for also. Also how about a bonus of 10pts at the end of the season if you have NO DNF. Hopefully this will get more people to race. Even if you just do one lap on your holiday to get your name on the board! Thats all I can think of now.. With that I think I'll start with the 1st track!! SEASON 2 - RACE 1 (please note this race will run until SUNDAY the 28th at midday BST) Edit: Sorry Suzuki.. had my post all typed up already! :P Will add your track to a list to be raced! Thanks. |
