Peter Scillitoe should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
HSCC, BRANDS HATCH, SATURDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2010

On behalf of all at the HSCC, and the Clerking Team, and - of course - Mildred and myself, many thanks to all the marshals who supported us on Saturday. Sorry some of you had to be moved from allocated post or duty (or both) after the briefing due to last minute absences. Hope to see you all back in 2011 for the HSCC Superprix on the GP circuit.

I'm sorry to say I wuz one of the absentees! I was nursing various injuries sustained on a "Nice Quiet Week On The Grand Union Canal"! Twisted knee, badly bashed shin and aches and pains from throwing myself around various locks! I thought I'd be able to get to Brands but I couldn't get my leg over...The bike! Oh Matron!

What a fun day! Came straight to the track from Heathrow and a flight from Seattle via San Francisco, arriving just in time for the second practice. Great racing -- it's just that I wish I'd had more time to see some of those cars in the paddock over lunch. Thanks to Paul, Tony, and Tim at post 2 for making this jetlagged Canadian feel most welcome. And thanks to the Racegypsy for picking me up at the airport in the first place!

To all the guys on Post 2, sorry I was late, but I think the reason outweighed the problems caused. My friend RacerKeke really enjoyed herself with you all, and was excited and proud to see her brother racing his unique F Junior Dreossi special at Brands, prior to Goodwood next weekend.
