MihokS5 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I thought the e-trons would be quicker. Maybe audi is sandbagging more with them...

I doubt it. Maybe the hybrids went to a setup more suited for rain. In the wet they were really dominant.

BTW Fassler is closing down on Dumas.

DS" should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
This is why F1Rejects loves Deletraz so much.

Geez those Gulf Lolas... I'm not surprised one of their car was forbidden to race at Sebring. Where do they get these drivers??

I would expect that the e-tron probably has its added weight (from the hybrid system) in a less ideal place than does the Ultra have its added ballast.

BTW, I just heard the bit about the Bergmeister crash, and checked YouTube; I just hope he comes through okay after a hit like that. I'm kind of surprised that the F1 inspections missed that possible hazard at pit-out.

The team is a joke and their drivers a danger, especially at a fast circuit like Spa or La Sarthe. Suprised the 29 is still in the race.

both cars have 900kg as weight, on the ultra have been placed weight ballast on the front to "simulate" the presence of hybrid hardware that there isn't, basicly the e-tron has a better re-acceleration after some heavy brake and during these seconds of hybrid boost become a 4x4 car that helps with the handling during a raining race.
According to the last news, tim bergmeister conditions are fine and stable but risks to lose the left lung

The 28 gulf lola isn't doing badly it is running in seventh, I just think they need to get rid of the both of the 29 drivers.

By "team" I meant 29, not Gulf Middle East.

Maybe I'm forgetting something, but I don't recall Deletraz being a particular liability when he was running FIA GT. Am I missing something, or is he just not handling the prototypes very well?

Jean-Deniz Deletraz has some DEEEEEEEEP pockets. I mean, it's a miracle that any team took him after his "glorious" run with Pacific: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ILOFBlNcLY

(Unfortunately the clip with Murray Walker asking, "And what is Deletraz doing?", doesn't seem to be available on YT. )

He was decent in GT, actually impressive sometimes, but his F1 career was a sham and he has been considered one of the worst F1 drivers of all time.

Does anybody know why Audi picked up Bonanomi?

Just checked where he was coming from and his open-wheel results have been very much mediocre. Good choice for sure but not a very likely candidate with that kind of past results.

What happened to Signatech over the winter? Weird showing, even from the pro-car.

the hybrid system on the front wheels seems that can just create understeering and braking problems than advantages...

I can imagine that there are some unintended consequences being found with the hybrid system on the Audi.

On the Viper bit, I was thinking the Corvette was going to be allowed to go back to a larger engine (at least the 6.2-litre, which is what the ZR-1 road car has). Also, the class limit is 5.5 litres, is it not? If it's only 5.0 litres, the Corvette must have waivers also, and the V12 Aston definitely needs a waiver in that case with its 6.0-litre lump.

Ferrari could prep one of their V12 models if GT starts swinging up in displacement. And if they can fix the turbo equivalency, Porsche can just run a 911 Turbo RSR.

Geez, I'm thinking way too hard about this.

Purist, it's 5.5L limit for GTE, Vantage runs a 4.0L V8 IIRC.
