JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
BRDC SUMMER RACES - 12th June

I have started a new thread for this subject.
The NI FF1600 Championship has two rounds at Silverstone on Sunday June 12th. The entry fee for this costs £120 for the two races (£60 per race).

Races are 12 laps each, and take place on the National Circuit.

Although a round of the 500MRCI series, all FF1600 cars can enter, and I will be accepting 34 cars to start.

Ten races are on the programme, including a celebration of 40 Years of Clubmans cars. The BRDC Historic Sportscar Championship, Classic F3, 1-litre F3, Aston Martins and Formula Juniors will also compete.

It is hoped that Le Mans legend, Derek Bell, will demonstrate a Porsche 956 or 962 car, and that an air display, including a Spitfire, will also take place (weather permitting).

There will be a pre-race party in the BRDC Clubhouse on the Saturday evening for those staying over for Sunday.

After losing the July date to the Silverstone Classic, the BRDC Summer Races had to switch to June 12th or fall off the calendar. A Bentley Drivers' Club meeting takes place at Silverstone on the Saturday, so pre-event testing will be on Friday June 10th.

For the record three free entries for the BRDC Walter Hayes Trophy will be up for grabs in the opening FF1600 race on the 12th.

If you require an entry form, please contact me on:

James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk

Are there going to be any up for grabs at the Edwina trophy James?

Que the "Dawkins would only win if it went to the first one to retire" jokes

A couple of very good races, with the second one bringing a fantastic end to the day. I think the lead must have changed about 30 times, which in a 12 lap race is pretty impressive! 3 or 4 a-breast into brooklands...we thought you wouldn't make it round ther but you did and it was excellent to watch!
Well done the NI FF1600 guys, your welcome back anytime if your gonna put on a show like that!

If anybody caught my excursion across the grass on the inside of Beckets during the first race/first lap, I would love a copy.

Many thanks to Tom Doe for seeing me and avoiding being T Boned as I approached at 'ramming speed'.
