VAL DES TERRES Guernsey ROUNDS 21 & 22

GUERNSEY ROUNDS R21 & R22
Tried my best to beat grovesy .i was quickest in both practices and qualified
fastest for first run off,but was just edged out meeting turned into dean/groves show as we battled all day.meeting was dragged out by accidents, charlie smith blew engine and cement dust caused havoc all afternoon, the last runoff finished at 7pm it was touch and go wether we needed lights.
noteable damaged cars R .marshall dallara 3 corners off as a trip into the field at end of straight,N.saunders 2 wheels off, bill cohu one wheel off.
and numerous spins at one stage five out of seven went off in one class

Well done Mike...

....I was supposed to be at Gurston today, but the meeting was cancelled a few days ago due to some problems with the track re-surfacing....

Anyway, I am looking forward to Wiscombe, although I don't think I will be troubling the scorers in the run-offs !!

Regards
Kelvin

What was/is the hill record at Val des Terres? Looks like someone has joined the rather exclusive sub-30 sec club!! Congrats. No wonder there was a hangover, I doubt it was "slight" though!

Noah
joined sub 30 club 2 seasons ago(2003) when grovesy did first ever 30 with 29.73 i did a 29.99,tim mason also did 29.99,jnr 29.93,
if you look on gmc & cc web site all sub 30 secs runs are listed
class record is 29 .44 and track record is very low 29.14 i think(fleetwoods)
the only other sub 30 run was RTL IN the davidson GR55

I THINK you will probaly realise only grovesy,me and tim mason did sub 30
in the ageing gr37s

a group of only 6 people very elite

both grovesy and i fancied the chances of attacking woodys record but track conditions would not allow it.
