Forda should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Had to look that up.
Turns out it's from the 1980's - much like many of the irrelevant Holden and BMW-biased post-race opinions currently being sprouted.

The fact is Scotty and DJRTP are the winners of this year's great race.
Time to accept it, and move on.

Still doesnt distract from the fact Jamie held the field back.
No-one here cracking the sads!! It happened a week ago and the other in 2015. But if you feel the need to get personal and resort to name calling to get your point across, go ahead. 'Black knight' probably be the nicest thing I get called all day.

The win is provisional at this point. I also think the hearing is going to have a wider scope than some think. There has been some talk that SM posted his fastest second sector under yellow, not sure if that will play a part? Interesting how you can win but still lose respect and public opinion at the same time.

Not sure why everyone is tarting this up as a Holden V Ford thing. It really isn't anything like that.

Wow, with a delayed reply like that it’s almost like you have taken the DJRTP team orders to heart. I look forward to seeing how they cheat at the Gold Coast.

Oh, and no matter what team did that 888 or anyone I’d be saying the same thing..

Disagree.

Up until this race, you could count the number of Ford wins at Bathurst in the last 20 years on one hand.

Ford and their teams have put a lot of effort into the Mustang program, and while it was initially welcomed by the sport with open arms, it has been constantly picked on thereafter for many reasons.

To finally win the big one again is not only great, it's also long overdue.

Years and years of 888 winning everything becomes tiring very quickly, and the sore losers might need to recognise something different is necessary for keeping the category interesting and relevant.

Remind me again which team started the Ford renaissance back in the mid 2000's?

Giz was advantaged by not having to double stack and Tander laughed admitted it when interviewed during the telecast.

Oh all good no problem then, call off the hearing. I'm sure all the other competitors were relieved to hear that. SVG wasn't going to pit at the safety car, but was then forced to change their strategy when FC slowed the field.

No SVG was intending to pit, he'd hardly pit under green would he as there was no guarantee that there'd be another safety car?

The initial call to 97 was to stay out...they only told him to pit after Fabian held him up. It is there in the radio transcripts.

97 Engineer: "Hey mate, there's going to be another safety car soon."

SVG: "What do I do?"

97 Engineer: "I think we stay out mate. Car is off at the last corner. 27 to go."

SVG: "Fabian is going stupidly slow! Fabian is going stupidly slow!"

SVG was not going to pit if he had not been held by Fabs.

He wanted to pit but he didn't want to double-stack, Fabs enabled him to pit without double-stacking and saved him possibly having to possibly pit under green flag racing.

Shane must have been blowing up on the radio as Fabian must have forgotten to order Shane a drink with his happy meal.

You could hear the confusion in Shane's voice, he knew he should pit but a double stack at that time kills his race. He would have come out behind so many more cars it would have sunk him. No double stack=a free pitstop almost for him at this time.

There will be no fine, no loss of points, at best there will be a slap on the wrist - to fine, punish in anyway the alleged offence needs to be proven, and under the current rules (the rule they are being investigated of breaching), no offence has been committed, to think anything else is fanciful

The singing and dancing machine that is social media, fanned by a recent article in the News Ltd papers, suggests a mutually agreed outcome may be a fine and loss of teams championship points to date.

It would be interesting to see how a modern-day DJRTP might operate from the infamous ‘Winton’ end of pit lane (Thanks Bill Tuckey)

Especially since neither is likely to happen
