I'm sure the BBC commentators mentioned that Edwards will be teamed with Rossi on the works Yamahas next year. Presumably Checa will be out of the Yamaha family altogether.

Some interesting stuff here as a whole. Xaus would be an ideal Repsol rider, but he and Hayden would be a very inexperienced combo. Maybe Xaus and Barros at Repsol, and Gibernau and Hayden at Gresini?

From what I gathered during the weekend, Barros may be on the outer at Repsol Honda...

I guess if they boost the Gresini number one bike up to works level, with Sete doing most of the work with Tora, then they can get the young guns firing in preperation for a 2006 domination?

And Xaus would keep Repsol happy who, realy have had a realy realy bad year

Funny rumours:

Biaggi to Repsol
Melandri to Pons,
Barros or Bayliss to Kawa
Hopkins, Barros, Xaus or Checa to Ducati
Edwards to Yamaha

and Honda building a machine for Pedrosa(i believe for 2006)

however I heard that there are 19 provisional dates in the calendar???

Biaggi to Repsol has certainly been doing the rounds, and both parties haven't said anything on the matter yet. That means they are in talks. I wouldn't be surprised to see Max in a Repsol seat in 2005... but I wouldn't be surprised if Xaus ended up there either. The lad has performed heroics on a year-old Ducati this year and certainly has proven deserving of a decent crack at MotoGP next year.

Possible that they'll get Biaggi as he has won races this year to be their stable well known quantity. Maybe they will ship Hayden off to the vacated 2nd Gresini seat with CV being the "great new thing". Doohan said that it "looks like Hayden will stay with Honda".

Telefonica Movistar Honda

Sete Gibernau - definite w/ Honda Factory Support
Will there be a 2nd seat?
Ruben Xaus - (With telifonica sposership?) Maybe

Camel Honda Pons

A second Camel Bike? Is it in their contract I wonder?

Possibilities: Carlos Checa? Marco Melandri? Troy Bayliss?

[u]Japenese Team?[u]

Makoto Tamada - Confirmed.

It has been said that Makoto has a Sponser for next year that is not Camel. Will it be run under the Pons garage?

Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha

Recall that last year there were rumours of Japanese wildcard racer Yuki Takahashi entering the 250cc world championship in 2004. Ultimately it was the 2003 250cc Japanese champion, Hiroshi Aoyama, who moved up to W/C as team-mate to Dani Pedrosa. IIRC (IIRC) Takahashi wanted to win the Japanese 250cc title first before entering the world championship full-time.

Takahashi was won the 2004 All-Japan 250cc championship:
http://www.motoracing-japan.com/resu...004/04rps.html

Will we see him in the W/C next year?

Lorenzo will ride Honda in 250cc next year. I didn't found out whether it's a factory bike or not.

We cna update this a little now. Checa's going to Ducati, Barros is gone from Repsol, with Biaggi likely to join Hayden. Ellison is confirmed for WCM in 2005. Hodgson's going to AMA with Ducati.

Another new manufacturer for the 250cc class

http://motogp.tiscali.com/en/motogp/....htm?menu=home

So KTM aren't the only manufacturer newcomer. What to make of this entry?

Manufacturer interest was re-spiked by them putting off the "MotoGp2" class for awhile, that is one of the reason KTM did decide to move up"

I think Aprillia and Honda have had it their own way for too long now .

And as an aside, KTM said that they want to stay as a "two stroke manufacturer" or "V-twin manufacturer" (I can't remember which, silly me) which is why they won't go to MotoGp (or so they say). So why doesnn't Ducati go about snaring a 250cc world title?

Ooooh, Fantic..
It's been a while since i've heard from them.
They're mostly known from the Trial scene, like Beta, Gas Gas and Montesa.

I used to drive one of their bikes in competition quite some time ago, on an amateur level ofcourse.

Welcome aboard anyway!
