ALMS and LMES should have avoided date clashes

Nice to see Dyson again beating the Audi (of course it is just practice..but still). I hope this time around the Dyson cars don't screw up like Mid-Ohio...

Look how close the Vettes are to the P1s! They can make the overall podium on their own merit!

C6R, PM me if you wanna talk about GM and stuff and junk.

Where is Saelens in the Panoz?

Is he driving Porsche Cup this weekend in France?

The new car isn't as competitive as it was at Mid-Ohio, so far.

Saelens is at Magny-Cours.

The Porsche Supercup is his main commitment for the year

WOW! Where the heck did that Bucknam car find all that speed?!

Does the ALMS still qualify LMPs and GTs separately? If so, you can imagine they put in some nasty fast laps. Here's hoping the 16 survives. That's a badass group of drivers. C. Dyson, do something extraordinary, please!

Panoz might not have Saelens, but they have Kelly Collins filling in, ex-Corvette driver. Still a top-notch line up, if you ask me.

Yes, they still qualify seperatly.

They did some track repairs today in turn 1. I don't know if it was between the two sessions or before the GT/GTS.

I didn't realize it was Collins running the Panoz. Its just I think Saelens is a heck of a driver and really helped figure out the LMP1 last year.

Good to see the Saleen very close! Very good! I hope to see a dogfight, long as they don't loose the hood of the car! Anybody know why the Panoz was off the pace?

I'm sure it took a bit for Collins to get comfortable. Remember though, Lime Rock has a number of high speed, downforce using corners, and the Ponoz is front engined. Every onther car is either mid enigined (Ferrari 3600 or rear engined (Porsche 911).

The ACEMCO machine was knocked off the road by the #4 Corvette at Mid Ohio.

The Bucknam car qualified ahead of all the GTS cars at Mid Ohio, and was significantly faster than any other LMP2 there. It's a thought, but the Bucknam car is a Pilbeam, and all the others are Lolas. I'm thinking that at least at the last event, it was likely the chassis that made the biggest difference.
