Traction Control

As we all know Traction control makes a return to formula One this weekend in Spain..but I was just watching the F3000 race from there and was wondering if traction control is being planned to be used in any of the lower formula's

maybe the FIA will see some sense and keep it out of f3000 and F3 to keep costs down but then again they maybe thinking that if its hard to police in F1 maybe it is to hard to police in these series ?

i dunno was just wondering if anyone knew of any such plans at all ???

It is very hard to police this, due to the way the tuners map the engines!! You can create any number of engine speed maximum torque requirement configurations, and based on which gear your in it will choose the required amount of torque usable and so make a selection on the map required!! This way in low gears the enigne will only produce the amount of torque the tyre contact patch is capable of transmiting to the ground giving acceleration. This is of course altered by weather conditions but indeed to run a non-slip torque controller would be very evident! But i`m sure non of the teams in F3 are using it!
